I have 4 sections in my work planner. Writing goals, admin/projects, distractions, and notes/ideas. My personal planner is much the same with a weekly chore list, to buy/budget, read this week, shows/TV/movies I watched, home projects (buy tile, shop for paint, etc.), and family ideas. It also doubles as my schedule/journal/memory keeping. I'll be switching up my system next quarter and have been debating on starting a YT channel to document it. My methods: KZbin Pomodoro sprint groups, usually 2 hours long. Documenting distractions (something I learned from Rachelle in Theory). GAME CHANGER for me. HB90 method (from Sarra Cannon Heart Breathings) reached you how to set goals, break them into projects, and then into tasks. Lastly, she teaches you how and when to schedule those tasks. My ADHD brain loves it!

I love how you personalized each tip. Explaining how it worked for you. Now they make more sense to me and how they help. Thanks!

My #2 tip for productivity is batching tasks when I can. Opening all the mail THEN sorting it by urgency, sorting emails (you did a video on this), making phone calls, writing correspondence/emails. ... Another way I batch tasks is: sit-down jobs and standing jobs. With arthritis in my spine, there's times when I have to choose. If you work remotely, you probably batch your in-office jobs with your at home jobs... I'm thinking: no use doing at home jobs at the office... I'd rather go home! ... David Allen, author of "Getting Things Done", batches phone calls with opening the envelopes of incoming mail and other such mindless tasks. The other day, when I was on with the phone company, I batched it with some filing. 💖🌞🌵😷

#1 tip for productivity is get plenty of sleep the night before or take a siesta mid-day. If I'm tired my patience is low and not much gets finished. ... When I worked 4/10s, I would eat lunch with my friends who only took 30 minutes and go out to my car and take a rest for 30 minutes. Sometimes I would fall asleep and sometimes I would just relax and let my mind go blank. I always used an alarm or timer. 💖🌞🌵😷

Mine is to be realistic. I like to indicate on my daily schedule when I will be eating lunch, snacks and dinner. I also know I will stop about 8:00 and veg on the couch until 10:00 when I go to bed. I try to be very realistic about my time available based on the things I know I will do or not do.

Love this post. With breaking big task I was thinking with those reoccurring task I can make a detailed list for that task. Then laminate it so I can reuse it when that task needs to be done.

I need some help. I’m a part time therapist with appointments scheduled, but I also have teenagers who have busy schedules plus home stuff, I find it so hard to write all that down in an hourly planner( I need room to write), what options could I do, any advice would be helpful.

That is such a great question. When I am in the busier times I usually need more views of the week. For example, this summer is very, very busy so I will be using a planner with a monthly, weekly and daily view. This allows me to keep information at different levels of detail as I need. You could keep the kids schedules at an hourly view and use the weekly section for patient appointments (or whatever works best for you). And lots of notes pages! Because sometimes you just need to Brain dump on a clean page. Hope this helps!

I've always used two pages per day with a column for tasks, a column for my schedule with half hour increments and the right side for notes. The other night I was at karate with my granddaughter (I take her twice a week) and the sensei mentioned several bits of important information. I wrote them on the notes page and then later transferred the information to the appropriate pages. I have the original information and then I have the information on the day when it will be needed. On Sunday evenings I always fill out the upcoming week's pages and am surprised sometimes by information I've written in advance that I completely forgot about. You can use post-it notes, too, and move things around. But two pages per day is the only thing that works for me.

I use a planner and a notebook. In my planner I will put the name of the topic and then refer to my notebook for the details. For example doctor's appointment. And my planner it would be doctor's appointment but in my notebook it would tell me who it's for what doctor etc. I put page numbers on my notebook and I refer to the page number in my planner to make it easier to find.

How’d you get inside my brain? 🧠 😆 SO many things on this video resonated with me, confirming what I’ve been learning about myself & what works. I will try hard NOT to forget to stop & eat anymore (major issue that has taken a big toll on my health, weight etc.) and allow myself the time in the morning after reading & praying, rather than hoping to catch my planner ‘on the fly.’ 🫶🏻 thank you for the encouragement and letting me know I’m not alone in my struggles! 😅
