I have the same features as you-small lips and eyes wider than my mouth. I went to Italy, where a facial reconstruction doctor told me I have "classic Botticelli features," not "modern Hollywood features." He went on and on about how Botticelli features are timeless, more beautiful and have better symmetry. Ever since that day, I have loved the way my facial features are set!
@Caroline_Winkler

i love this. and it is soooo insane how facial features go in and out of "trends". like all the hot celebs of the 70s had really thin lips. these are just trends.

@womaninwood9177Maybe that reframing is a big step toward that self love. It’s hard to pull that out of a void, but the reframing opened her mind to viewing herself in a new way. When someone reframes her looks in a negative way, she still has this Botticelli card up her sleeve to keep her strong.

This helped me a lot esp with recurring moments of old hurts. “Someone hurt me like this before. This hurt feels old, this fear feels old. I can’t control all that, but I can control how I will hold/protect/carry myself through it THIS time. Who / how do I want to be this time.”

Thank you for being so open about the things you do for your beauty. In your video you say that you don't want to influence people into doing those things or buying those products. I want you to know that you actually achieved the opposite which is great! For me it's important that you have been so transparent here because I've never done anything like this in my life - no cosmetic procedure big or small. I don't wear make-up, I don't style my hair and I don't make any other effort - I just make sure I'm clean and well-groomed, eat well, exercise, nothing else. I am a mom and I go mountain hiking a lot for long periods of time, so my lifestyle does not really allow for more. When I watched your videos, I often thought: How can you be so effortlessly perfect? Why am I not as naturally beautiful as Caroline? It's a great relief to know how much work and thought you put into your appearance. Now I can watch your videos without feeling “not good enough” and I feel more comfortable in my own skin again. :-)

It was very a high value / emphasis in my family :/ and it’s certainly tied to my sense of worth to some degree. It feels like a constant battle. Thank you so much for answering in this lovely way! I forgot to add that I think there is no superior way in this area (beauty procedures or not etc). I love how you carry yourself and how much you do to enhance your beauty. And even though I admire it, at the same time I felt weirdly relieved that I am definitely too lazy for hair products and so on :D and that it's okay to look "just" okay. Your video really had that amazing effect on me.

As a straight guy who loves interior design, it feels nice to be seen at 4:33. The sights, sounds, smells, and general vibes of a place definitely have an effect on me, and I think that's true for everyone. Imagine a beautiful fall landscape compared to an isolation chamber in a prison. We can probably all say that we prefer one over another... Why is interior design supposed to be a gender or orientation coded thing? If I know that humans are happier and do better in environments that make them feel good, why wouldn't I strive to live in a place that makes me feel good?

@phoebeel
@phoebeel 2 ай бұрын
I hate to be a downer but getting a single cat is, ESPECIALLY in a flat, animal abuse. You cannot get just one. If you work at an office, that animal is by itself for 9-10 hours of the day and then MORE hours when it's owner goes out. And then when the owners are at home, they sleep for 8 hours. So basically you are getting an animal that needs entertainment and care and love only to leave it by itself for 18 hours of the day. That is no life. Imagine being by yourself, locked in a room with no contact to other beings. That is abuse

No judgement at all, Only saying this because I sincerely adore you… face fillers and lip fillers don’t dissolve ever. They migrate. I watched a documentary about it recently and was shocked since everyone says they dissolve. It can cause a lot of health problems in the future because it can block your lymphatic system which is the system that rids your body of everyday toxins. Speaking as someone recovering from an autoimmune disorder, you do not want to mess with your detox pathways. And I’ve always believed that everyone’s features perfectly match their face. You’re a stunner Caroline!! You’ve got sparkly eyes! Anyway. 🤍 this video was super.

I was going to say the same thing. Filler migrates and can cause so many health issues. MRIs have shown lip fillers migrating all over the head. It can cause issues with the lymphatic systems and I think we’ll find in the future that it’ll be linked to some forms of cancer.

I'm so happy someone shared this information with our much loved Caroline and all the others that watch her videos and find value in her authenticity!! Becoming an internationally certified esthetician just before the filler craze hit the public, seeing the younger generations behind me age faster than I am because of all of their experimenting with the injectables which never leave their body, makes my heart sad. Because once they're my age (early 40's) their facial structure is going to make them look so much older than they biologically are. Damn mainstream media constantly bombarding us with propaganda that leaves us perpetual distorted beauty image 😣

Exactly. It's soo not sustainable long term. I'm 37, I look 27 according to many, I get shocked looks from people when they find out my age and my "secret" is meditation. I know 37 is still young and these words will have more weight at 47, 57 etc. But I feel very confident meditation is better than fillers for infinity reasons ♾

Caroline, how did you get so wise, so early in life? Let me tell you that I am 23 years older than you are and I am in awe of you. I only wish I could have been so wise at your age. As someone who struggled with bulimia and eventually went to a treatment center for it, i really appreciate what you are saying about having balance within balance, aiming between a 4-7. What you are saying resonates a lot with my journey. Listening to podcasts of Isabel Foxen Duke, or Christy Harrison, was so helpful in my recovery, and radical acceptance and surrender of whatever my food looked like.

Caroline, can’t thank you enough. I’ve been struggling with fitness goals for the entire year and you helped me realize that I was still keeping myself safe from when I pushed myself too hard in 2017 after recovering from knee surgery. I overdid it and criticized myself too harshly at my lowest and didn’t realize my brain and body still didn’t trust my desire to be back in the weight room yet as anything but more punishment. This breakthrough is priceless, seriously the amount of money and time I’ve spent trying to pinpoint the blockage and you gave it to me for free in a YT video about your own experience!!! Healing is an understatement. Thanks so much

I really liked this video. Being vulnerable is the new superpower, and I’m here for it. I like the process you’ve found for yourself. I also like the saying that I’ve heard throughout the years-perfectly imperfect. It applies to us all. I’m 64 and still a work in progress. My advice to anyone who asks is, don’t ever stop exercising. It is a mistake that I made and regret because it is so very hard to get back on track. Love your channel. ❤

I got lip filler, just a tiny bit, and loved it. Over a year later I went to get more and the experience was horrible-lumps, uneven, crazy crazy swelling, multiple trips back to try to fix it. Over two years later I look…fine…but I swear it has spread and is not all gone. Nobody but me notices, I hope, but I wish I just hadn’t messed with it. My (new) injector looks lovely but said she’s had hers dissolved TWICE in the past few years. It’s much more permanent than they lead us to believe!

So much of what you talk about in your videos. I am experiencing in real life. Over the last 4 years I’ve consistently been putting myself outside of my comfort zone in my career, and it has burnt me out and led to a computer related strain injury. Because of my hard work, I have been offered a promotion and I don’t know if I should just ride the momentum and just take the promotion to a much harder job, or if I should listen to my body and mental health and just rest and breathe.

I watch these videos in hopes of finally finding a way to relate and connect. I was abused by my family starting in childhood. At 59 I still do not feel worthy of self love or self care and certainly do not feel worthy of love from a man. I am alone and would like therapy but as I live under the poverty line I cannot afford it. I know it's no one else's job to lift me up but I'll be honest when I say I just don't know if I'll ever have the energy. I really do enjoy Caroline's personality and way of looking at life and adversity. I've very glad she has a supportive family. It makes all the difference to have friends and family around. I have a cat but it's not the same. LOL

Girl 😂😂 the shower segment killed me. I love your humour and I appreciate your advice so much. Especially the comfort/discomfort talk. I realised recently that I'm not out of the people pleasing woods just yet even though I thought I was. It was uncomfortable to realise my ppl pleasing habits just took on new faces and some of my friends really have been taken advantage of that (knowingly or not). I need to really sit in the discomfort for the next foreseeable future to hopefully recognise my own patterns and habits so I can change them.

I am 6 minutes in and this is one of the most helpful videos I have watched on health and fitness - EVER. It's so easy to believe (esp. with the evolution of the fitness influencer) that everyone LOVES to push themselves every day and therefore, not feeling like brutalising yourself is a failure. It's okay to change it up, to rest, to take the easy path so that you can enjoy movement.
