Neutrals are ok, but once a pop of colour is added it makes the room come alive. I love colour, but not overly done. Like you Garrett, Blue is the main colour but I have accents in Maroon and Gold, that have been pulled from the rug. When it comes to the bedroom. I dislike multiple decorative throw pillows on the bed. Just making the bed, makes a big difference. I can’t understand people who never make their bed. Yes, you can air the bed before making it, but then simply make the bed. Make sure the pillow cases are on the pillows properly. Shake the pillows out. Then cover the bed properly with a duvet or bedspread. Once the bed looks clean and made, then it is welcoming when the time comes to going to bed. Make sure you wash the sheets, pillowcases and duvet cover at least once a week, so everything is fresh and clean. A good sleep makes a good day. *The Blend* . For me, discovering my "blend" was a game changer. I describe my style as rustic/vintage/cottage. I have some Traditional elements, like my wing back chairs. I love having a neutral base with larger pieces. I went all in on a dark and moody bedroom. It's a more intimate side of me. It's a gloomy autumn day in Upstate NY. The diffuser's are on, candles lit and piano jazz plays in the background. I'm surrounded by the scents of a Chyypre base with a tad of citrus and rose geranium. If my essence were bottled in a fragrance, this would be Me.

Thank you. You have helped me fix my living room. I have an off white sectional. It was beautiful until I spilled 2 full cups of coffee on one piece. I thought I had to get rid of the whole thing. Now I think if I replace the stained piece with a leather love seat and put the ottoman in the corner

Small change, big impact....painted the baseboards the wall color, instead of the trim/door color......wow. Made the walls look taller, cleaner less "busy" looking. I have seen the paint everything the same color ceiling, walls, trim, doors look......don't like it. I have to transition in an open concept studio/dining/living/computer space....painting the baseboard trim the wall color helped a lot!
