If you haven’t done it you can also use pumpkin purée as one of the wet ingredients. Approximately 1/2-1 cup depending how much you make. It’s good. I’m tickled pink just saying to see a young mom doing healthy foods for their family. I’m glad you have learned how too, I’m 60 and basically taught myself how to cook. I’ve learned more on KZbin as well. But I wish I could have known all the ins and outs like you do when I was younger in my 20’s and 30’s. Did not know all this. Keep up the good work. One thing the younger generations Need is people like you teaching things you know how to do. Great job young lady.❤

I just found your channel! A hint from an o A hint from a cheap old lady: for quick breads and cookie mixes,switch from all purpose flour to self -rising flour. It has the baking powder and soda mixed in already. White lily sells one that uses baking powder with no aluminum. They sell bleached and unbleached, as well as bread flour for yeast breads.Here in TN even Wal-Mart carries the brand. $4.48 for a 5# bag,A couple cents more than their Great Value flours,about the same as Pillsbury and Gold Medal, less than King Arthur. I bake almost daily and using SRF has been a game changer. I'm anxious to try the soup base; I pass by all the recipes calling for canned cream of soup

Homemade pantry mixes and herb blends are the only way to always have what you and your family likes, take your family members' dietary needs and allergies into consideration, and it being just plain healthier. I don’t simply because we rotate through each batch within 6 months, and they last that long simply sealed and not vacuumed. But you certainly can! The only one I wouldn’t vacuum seal is the cranberry oatmeal as cookies because the cranberries are pretty moist and sticky - not a good candidate for vacuum sealing.

Can you explain how to reconstitute the powdered mixes please. Ex: the pancakes, cookies. Soups especially. Do you just add water because there’s powdered milk in the mix? How much water? Also can you please do a video of making biscuits with the buttermilk powder please? I think I may just make a pantry full of jars for my daughter for Christmas. This was a wonderful video thank you for sharing.
@foodprepguide5 ай бұрын
There are printable recipes linked in the description box of this video, which show how much liquid to add. Sometimes it's water, sometimes it's an egg + coconut oil, etc. What a wonderful Christmas gift idea! The printable recipe links should make it even easier to just print on some cute paper and provide alongside the jars. ❤️ I will try to do that biscuit video in the future. But you just add water in a 1:4 ratio (1 part buttermilk powder to 4 parts water), depending on ever how much buttermilk your recipe requires. For instance, if your recipe calls for 1 cup buttermilk, you would use 1/4 cup buttermilk powder and 1 cup water. Hope that helps!
