Seems the Classic 350 is capable to do some long distance touring, looking forward to hear your experiences after your longer road trips.

Bro we indians ,used the old classic 350 and bullet 350 for long touring, to hills and stuffs.. india is full of mountains and stuff.. we used classic for that.. Later touring motorcycles , off road, and different bikes for different purpose began to thrive here.. still A lot use this bike for touring.... The engine is more reliable now . If UCE could do that, J series can do it better.. so don't worey

If people can tour on bicycles any bike is more than capable. Been away camping a few times on my 350Classic A wonderfully relaxed way to see the world. I toured in the 70s on a Honda 50 ,a Matchless 650 chair outfit & a 175 Jawa CZ. They all worked fine, although the Honda 50 was not the quickest tour I've done but she still managed 900 miles in 14 days at a sedate 40mph 🛵

I've now spent quite a few whole days on my Classic 350 and have to say how comfortable it is for long distance riding (for me). When I had the first test ride is was how the bike fitted me perfectly (I'm 6'2" tall) that struck me and I still love getting on it as much as I can.

For me landscape was really nice. I love German's countryside. I owned a Re 350 classic too and I can confirm that its a pleasure to drive it Usually for more than 3 hours trip I have to make a break despite the touring seat. Yes definitely 20 HP are enough to get smile on my face. Ride safe. Ciao

after ca 3000 km the engine get a lot better, smoother, faster, stronger. Absolutely. Very pleased with mine, in Norway . No performance parts needed. I only use 98 octane fuel. E5 . 😊

Enjoyed the video cheers Marc. It’s interesting that you’ve returned the bike to stock in terms of all the performance mods. Aside from a touring seat, engine bash plate and crash bars, I’ve decided to leave mine as stock too. Although I’ve got to say those tyres look great aesthetically and they handled the sandy road really well. Think I’ll have to have a pair when mine need changing. Thanks again👍🏍

Hi, maybe I will install the Fuel X again in Summer, to keep the engine cooler, but at the moment I am fine with the stock settings. Cheers

Not a good idea taking it off-road, I found it a laborious job cleaning it under the wheel arches afterwards. You have some lovely straight roads though.

Wer will da schon dauernd hinter einer Wand her fahren?

Great video Marc, I remember the Prussian musket at the time of Napoleon was called the Potsdam musket., didn't realise the city was so close to Berlin, sorry my geography of Germany is very poor. How far do you think the original seat would have taken you before the numb butt would set in? I'm asking as at the moment there is Red and Chrome 350 Classic model somewhere out at sea coming from India to Spain with my name on it, and not sure if it will need a touring seat. I bought one when my Triumph T120 was new back in 2017 and that one was worse than the original, so don't want to make the same mistake again.
@Marc.Stones9 ай бұрын
The original seat is very good, much softer and lower than the touring seat. The touring seat is quite cheap, so maybe just give it a try to find out, if it fits to you.

The word "classic" in relation to motorcycles, cars etc. is generally used to describe a vehicle of some age (not new) with a valued history i.e. not junk. The current use of the cheap looking retro Royal Enfield tank badges being stuck on the plethora of "motorcycles" oozing out of the Indian sub-continent hardly makes these bikes being "classic". Indian produced RE of any variety will never be regarded as a true Classic's. The only RE bike truly deserving of Classic status is the 700cc Constellation, none of the current RE badged jiggly built piles of cachu resemble anything that will ever become a Classic with a big "C".........P.S. My very first bike (purchased in 1964) was a 1960/61 250cc Royal Enfield Crusader Sports, a sort of "mini" Constellation hence my reverance towards the RE of days gone by and total distain towards the cheap crap produced under that name today.
@auldflyer7 ай бұрын
Having owned a genuine Royal Enfield Crusader in the early sixties, I can only say that the RE badged bikes being produced in India today are about the same as a Vindaloo from your local Indian takeaway, just gives you the sh*ts. Anbody trying to buy nostalgia should go out a pay for the real thing as these imitations will depreciate exponentially.......
