they’re also a huge company with a ton of successful IPs they can experiment and fail without shutting down completely. your viewpoint is the most negative possible because if they didn’t try new things you’d complain about them making the same thing over and over.

@@bloodaonadeline8346 Wow Istg you took this comment the wrong way. I was making an observation about how much they fucked up. Obviously every industry makes mistakes and Capcom clearly made a lot, doesn’t mean I hate the company Even though majority of the franchises I play come from them🤦🏾♂️.
@Dresfvae Жыл бұрын
@@spicydong317 I wasn’t talking about them not to try new things my comment was an observation on how many times they’ve fucked up in the past and most of that has to do with the higher ups not the developers themselves. RE7 is the biggest example you listed because after 2012, Jun Takeuchi took over as head of Division 1 and because of his leadership he helped fix RE. All the games you listed was due to his role at Capcom and was released under his supervision. The higher ups even wanted RE7 to be a live service game but he had to convince them not to. Every company does new things but it’s not like I was wrong when I said they fucked up many times and that’s due to the higher ups. The developers had little to do with most of the company’s failures for the most part which is why I said they fucked up due to their overconfidence and lack of judgment because that’s true

While I'm sure there are still several big mistakes of Capcom's past will be good fodder for a few more episodes of "Wha Happun?" or "Flophouse Files", I think we might at the junction of a paradigm shift, as Capcom's current devs have largely gotten past the dreck and been able to get the ball rolling on giving their series good-to-great new games and are (thankfully) looking to revive more cult classics like Darkstalkers, Power Stone, Rival Schools and more to give the heavy-hitters/internal favorites more breathing room - at least so far as your & Max Dood's videos and Triple K.O. among other Capcom Faithful have given me this impression, and I hope that Capcom can deliver on said hopes & aspirations; it's going to be an interesting ride, for certain! Edit: Just wanted to add that you, Max and Justin have been doing a great job with Triple K.O. so far, and I'm very curious what you guys have to say about Super Smash Bros. as length, considering it's such a unique animal as a fighting game with such wide/varied appeal, unusual controls & mechanics and such complex relationships between Mr. Sakurai, the fans, the Nintendo brass (both NOA and Kyoto), and everyone in the vicinity - I have a feeling that'd make for a great episode.
