Was totally expecting Sauvage to be in this. I know "fragrance aficionados" can't stand the stuff, but there ain't no denying that came out and blew up. It was like the perfect storm. Perfect fragrance, and the perfect ad campaign. And I don't care how basic I sound, I still think it's great.

I like ARMAFs fragrances but one consistent within that house is that the fist 15min of every one of their openings is that they are sharp/astringent - ARMAFs magic is their dry downs and performance

One Million was interesting because it was an fragrance community hype beast when it was only available in Europe (aka exclusive) but then when it hit it big in the US (in part due to said internet hype), the community went full hipster "I knew the band before it was cool" mode and didn't like it as much.

L'Homme wasn't that much of a smash hit. YSL Y EDP is a smash hit though. Sauvage is a smash hit but it was not quite a surprise because it was a big release by a big house with a big advertising campaign (it is quite literally the only one of note I can recall over the past 10 years).

Which to me would semi qualify it and i know sauvage wasnt really a surprise BUT i guarantee that no one knew hpw big it would be/ if it would even warrant such a big ad campaign

Eros, Invictus, and One million were the inevitable outcome of fragrances for men getting sweeter and less masculine. Still going on today. Most current Blues turn sweet and soapy after 30 minutes. So tired of it.
