Everybody has something that is uniquely attractive about them. The problem is that most people don’t know how to activate those qualities within themselves just yet because the barrier to becoming more attractive is the fear they have inside them. Fear shuts you down. It prevents your desire to do attractive habits and share interesting experiences, and because of that, it makes you less charismatic, less memorable, less powerful, and less attractive. What you need is a mindset shift. You are in control of how attractive of a person you can be, which is why you 100% can learn to become more attractive.

@@Psych2go For the most part, I feel like I was decently confident back a few years ago when I was in a retail position. But after leaving that job, I think most of the confidence was due to the fact that I had friends as coworkers and so many regular customers that it was so easy to strike up personal conversations. Moving to a new city, getting hit with COVID restrictions etc. made me get work where I work from home now, so now that we can (for the most part) go out in public with no restrictions, I noticed I have trouble making conversation in general out in public. It's something I've definitely been working on, but I can't help but feel uncomfortable sometimes.

I practice the first four habits quite often. I got this part time volunteer job as an emotional coach which gives me great confidence on the parts of emotional intelligence and active listening, and my regular job as a floor manager dealing with all kinds of customers where I get to show I can be tough and gentle, serious and playful, etc. I still find it really really hard to walk up to people my own age (not just the ones I find attractive) and introduce myself, get to talk to them and so on. I don't understand why but 9 out of 10 times I feel like I am interviewing someone instead of having a conversation; they just don't seem to be interested at all! I don't have that problem with someone that's older than me though. (I am in my 30s and all my friends are 50+) I can get so frustrated by all that sometimes.. Anyway, thnx for the video, I often come to your channel and appreciate all the vids you post. It helps :)

Really all of this is extremely effective stuff if you're trying to peak someones interest. I unintentionally did 4/5 (I wasn't with a group of friends) of these tips back in May and now I have a girl who works the cash register at a store I frequent staring at me with the most geniune smile and a starry eyes despite me fumbling my confession and finding out she has a boyfriend. And still when I tell her to have a nice day and end it with her name (another tip i picked up from this channel) she blushes. Sometimes if you want a better outcome its best to learn how to handle your emotions and maybe you'll still have a chance in the future.

I think it's the person themselves who make some of their habits attractive. We all have our preferences, so it might be hard to be objective about this. Practise on stuff you need, but with the intent of bettering yourself, for your own sake. If you only focus on what you think others are attractive to, you might lose yourself in the progress. Being forced to conform to normalcy shouldn't be the key. The video never said anything about conforming to anything, I just wanted to say that. Never ask "is this normal?" Instead, you should ask yourself "is this good for me?"

I don't even know. does it make me manipulative or something? since my very young age I analysed humans and understood a lot of stuff by myself. and honestly almost 3/4 of psychology videos don't teach me anything, it only confirm my own theories and make me feel smarter but at the same time bored. I don't even know why im asking this here, maybe I need to see a psy? but your calming voice soothed me and I felt comfortable opening myself. 3:00 Wait a minute. In another video you said that smart people struggle with love in part because they spend too long analyzing their emotions before they act, and the delay they take to analyze is perceived as disinterest. But now you're saying that taking time to analyze your emotions is a good thing and will make you seem more confident. I guess the truth is "don't spend too little or too much time analyzing your emotions", but it's hard to know where the sweet spot is.
