Hi DR. Rola Rabah. i hope this message finds you well. i am Ebraam George a dental student from Egypt, and i very interested to become an oral and maxillofacial surgeon in the United States. i watched your videos about omfs they are really good and helpful, but i was just asking if i have information about the pathways for foreign graduates in the United States concerning it, and how would i go about the steps to reach omfs residency. i am actually very interested in your program the six year omfs it is really interesting, and i have a passion for this profession and i would like to really hear your advice. i like your channel and videos thanku very much for them.

i'm a dental student in the US and I can tell you OMFS is the most competitive residency and international students have a severely tough time getting in even if any get in. You have to have plenty of research experience, be the top student in your dental school, and even if you have all those things you still might not get in. You aren't just competing with Dental grads but it is also very common to practice for 5-10 years then join a residency. The easiest way to become an OMFS is probably through the US army which has a not so competitive residency.

Hey Rola! What size Apple Watch do you have? 40mm or 44mm?

Hey Rola, I have to disagree in 2 things - neither watches nor open hair are very hygienic especially in surgery. Sorry for saying that. I would add a little beautycase with deodorant, some little makeup devices for a little touch up, hair ties and of course always instant soups / noodles! Greetings from germany!

Hi Ana thanks for the feedback but watches and open hair are never a part of surgery. You must scrub in prior to entering an operating room.
@anab.69484 жыл бұрын
Sorry, I obsviously didnt express myself correctly - at least here in germany even outside the operatiom room (emergency department, hospital ward) for hygienic reasons you are not supposed to wear rings, watches, earrings, etc) and your hair is supposed to be up.
