You have given me a pattern to approch the piano again after a long 'break' of some 50 years :) I used to play in the teens, but with little guidance. Your tutorials are the prefect levels of guiding me back to the keyboard. Enjoying it at the age of 70 +. Thank you.

Hey! As a casual classical pianist, I find this super useful, and easy to understand transition from just plainly reading notes on music sheet to really playing on the piano! I love the free PDF! Thanks!

Dear Marine, I started with your fantastic tutorials today. I started with 5 levels of Pop Accompaniment, went well with the start, but when I had to insert my OWN accompaniments, like adding a sun 2 then a major 4th then Em then sus 4 then F : I am unable to carry it off. Is there some way I could have your insertions on a score? Your tutorials are the best because you give us a score to work from, not just the chords and progressions. I understand about the chords in Roman Numerals. I have heard that playing scales in MODES is helpful with Pop music - why is your opinion on this statement? Will you cover these at some stage? With warm wishes and lots of thanks, Joanne. 🥰

When I am composing a song I usualy beging with the cord structruer the and the back line mix which is the bass guitar and drums. I will record the bass guitar and drums first then progress by layering the guitar and pino over that. The last thing I do is record the vocal parts. I don't use AI or Digital Audio Work station. I play all of the instruments myself.

Hi there from a 30 year beginner. Just a technical question - with an add 9 are you supposed to add the 7th at the same time to make it a 9 instead of a 2nd?
@OnlineRockLessons6 ай бұрын
Hey! Not for the add9. If it was a C9 chord tho yes you would add the dominant 7 too.

i know...she slipped in a couple of chord inversions i think....just trying to read the music near the end looked way more complicated than it should have been, like the chord progression had changed? i now have to go look for something simpler AGAIN.

@@lizsawley827 inversions are easy to learn. Once I got the hang of them my piano playing got way easier.
