I agree, i make my own food most of the time because my budget is p low and food costs way more than it should (we've been having a bad case of inflation). But there are just Those Days(TM) when you cant be bothered the night before, or you get home late and theres nothing in the fridge and stores are closed or youre just too tired, or you said to yourself "ill make food in the morning" and then u dindt bc you were too tired or slept in, it happens.

So here's what I do. I buy a loaf of bread and some cream cheese and turkey cold cut on monday. I have a jar of pickles and some jalapenos at work but when I run out I buy those too. I usually spend about €2,99 ($3.23) on lunch PER WEEK.

In India, Subway is much cheaper. You could get like 1 footlong for 5$ or like make it yourself (bread won't cost above 30rs and take a 200rs for chicken, 10 for butter, 10 for mayo, 50 for a drink and take 50 for veggies, total 350 or 4$ 😅
