I've found the scarfs that the arabs wear to be a much better design than western ones. Normal scarfs are like a huge long tube sock and no matter how you tie it it just sits bulky and doesn't cover the neck very well. The ones the arabs/muslims wear(called shemagh I think) are one big thin square piece of fabric that you fold in different ways creating many layers with air between them. I find them to cover the neck much better, the material is softer and nicer to the touch, are much more versatile(you can fold them in ways to cover your face/head not just in extreme cold but to protect against wind/dust/etc.), and last but not least are now trendy and even seen as masculine because the military wearing them as well.

I wish your video would have been around years ago I wore a scarf a couple of times, And just learned that the knot or tie is called the Fake knot when I actually wore the scarf that's the only knot I knew or learned because I felt tying a knot on a scarf was the same as tying a knot on a tie. Thanks for your info and good video.

Hi Real Men Real Style. I have a question: is it okay to wear a scarf over a single breast jacket when you're not wearing a Tie? I am asking bcz I live in Lahore, Pakistan where its cold but not cold enough for an overcoat, so it's pretty common to wear a single breast coat in winters but sometimes you want to wear a scarf to keep your neck warm. Plz advise. Thanks.

It’s all for long scarfs, none for short scarfs
@lawrence32424 жыл бұрын
None of these knots and scarf positioning will keep the hawk out. These are for people that are looking for style over practicality. The scarf is meant to keep the cold wind from blowing down your back. Put your scarf over your shoulders and across the back of your neck. Place the scarfs right end under the left arm and the remaining end under the right arm. The two ends are crossed in front of your chest. Now put your coat on. Adjust the scarf and button up your coat. That will keep the hawk out. Not that sissy stylish BS....

If you are wearing the scarf because its cold outside your covering nose, chin, and neck.
@lawrence32425 жыл бұрын
None of these knots makes a seal between the neck and the jacket/coat. Your methods are stylish nonfunctional. If you put the scarf on first then put on your coat/jacket you will protect your neck and shoulders better from the elements. This also protects your leather jacket collar from your neck and body oils. Style is fine but don’t confuse style with functionality.

Personally I didn't like this style of video. I feel like the background music takes away from what you're saying rather than adding to it. Also I prefer to actually see you in the video as mimic and gesture as well as body language have me more engaged in the content. Lastly I do enjoy a short in-and outro. Just some feedback on this new style.
