Every orthopedic doctor that I've ever read clearly states if you sleep on your back only, you want a firm bed. However, ideally it's best to sleep on your side and preferably your left side. If you have a bad back then sinking into a soft mattress and having to twist yourself out of bed in what would equate to being a 'hot dog bun' is more stressful on your back. I have a bad back, a medium-firm is my choice, I have an IntelliBed Midnight and my wife's is their Nightfall in our split King.

.. I stopped watching after the latex explanation. Most latex beds are pure latex often with spring support and judging on your front curvature the bed will outlive you or for that matter me. Otherwise the only breakdown would be spillage, a bad spring, or the breakdown of the wool or cotton surrounding materials.

I tried it in store. Its dunlop. I didnt like it. But try it out yourself. Some people like dunlop.

I bought the Mattress Makers hybrid mattress with the talalay latex and it’s the coolest and most comfortable mattress I’ve ever slept on…I believe the Dunlop latex sleeps warmer.

Talalay latex will sleep cooler than Dunlop. I'd say that latex doesn't promote a cooler sleep, but it is usually ventilated to promote airflow. Pretty temperature neutral. If you're hot natured or sleep hot, definitely look for something that has an active cooling surface.

Myth #6 - These online mattress companies make their own mattress....These online companies are just marketing companies that developed a website and gave their brand a silly name (like Saatva, Avocado, Helix, Wink, Casper, ect)
