The challenge is that the list of hotels appears to be a closely guarded secret. I stumbled across a FOI request where a lady asked the Home Office for a high-level list by constituency; explicitly stating that she didn’t need hotel names or migrant numbers. The HO declined the request on the basis that it is sensitive information. I’d like to know for the purpose of boycotting the companies involved and also to know whose pockets are being lined (akin to the PPE scandal). Seemingly the only information that can be found is for individual examples such as this video. There were 395 hotels apparently in use as on Oct-23. With 56k migrants being housed and the new ‘season’ due to start once the weather improves, can’t see how this number can go anywhere other than upwards…

I read that when their applications are approved they are given 7 days to move on from the hotel but now that is scrapped and they can stay on free for much longer.

Southend alone has just welcomed 351 in on that was the 17th of December coaches got sent from southend at 7.15 pm to dover to collect them and they got dropped of at the park inn ,birchwood hotel ,cobham house and i believe another 3 places in the area .I don't know the name of them because i wouldn't go down on the volunteer list as a chaperone however i do know that over the last month the numbers attending our centre for food help and support, vouchers etc has really increased instead of decreasing 😡😡

Back story for the Royal court hotel in coventry The hotel used to be lovely and in the last decade has become quite run down and undeserving of its history Rather than pay to renovate and bring itseld up to date, the owners applied and were subsequently put on the government contract list for housing immigrants. In 2020, 7 coaches of asylum seekers were due to arrive at royal court but coventry council put in a last minute injunction to prevent another historic hotel being used for this purpose as it considered that the size of the hotels already used as well as the strain on local services meant that the felt the home office was taking advantage of the citys good will.

To add to this, I got married in the grounds of this place and had the full service, meal and evening do at this place in 2010, was brilliant and 100% such a great memory, lovely place, fantastic grounds and rooms. We went back on our anniversary in 2016 and the only words I could use are that it was a dirty decaying shithole in desperate need of updating. That's no exaggeration.
