Stevie Wonder was born Stevland Hardaway Judkins on May 13, 1950, in Saginaw, Michigan. He lost his vision due to a condition called retinopathy of prematurity at the age of four, but this did not stop him from pursuing his passion for music. At the age of seven, Stevie began playing harmonica and singing in his church choir, and by the time he was 11, he had signed with Motown Records.
Stevie's music career took off in the early 1960s, with his debut album "The 12-Year-Old Genius" and hit single "Fingertips (Part 2)" reaching number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. He went on to release numerous successful albums and singles, including "Superstition," "Sir Duke," "I Just Called to Say I Love You," and "Living for the City." Stevie's unique blend of R&B, pop, and rock music, combined with his impressive vocal range and mastery of instruments such as the harmonica and synthesizer, made him a household name.
