quick tip: green onions(aka scallions) are very easy to grow in just water so save the base and just place in water. Any glass will do, you may want to change the water out periodically. make sure they get even sunlight, so move glass around adjusting for sun exposure.

Hello 👋 how are you doing
@boogerwall4264 Жыл бұрын
Everything that can go wrong will go wrong. At the start when she was listing off the ingredients, I realised I didn't have the jasmine rice. No big deal, I thought so I just proceeded with the rest of the video. She said to cook in cold rice, mind you I had never heard of cold rice, this wasn't my first time cooking until I realised that it was boiled rice left at room temperature. Oh wait you have to boil the rice, I finally understood having already inserted the raw rice into the wok with the eggs which for some reason, maybe it was because I put an absurd amount of olive oil, took me forever to finally cook. Trying to recover this excuse of a meal as a thousand asian families loom over my shoulders in shame and disbelief, I put cold water into the mixture until the rice has soaked it up. Maybe it'll fluffen up a little I thought. Anyways, in the confusing panic, I was trying to look for ways to "fix" the rice and end up worsening it as I see the grains burn at the bottom of the pan. Overall I'd rate the dish and the experience 10/10 because I'm hungry.

2:22 I've tried different oils and I like extra light olive oil for cooking and to a dish after it's cooked. For example I use it in beans and rice, I use a rice cooker to cook jasmine rice with paprika, cumin, chili powder, cayenne, black pepper, salt, and some extra light olive oil. Then I add black beans and more extra light olive oil and mix it up. It's a relatively inexpensive meal and the beans and rice combine to form a complete protein. I've wanted to try egg fried rice too since it's also a cheap source of protein and tastes good.

Thank you so much for this video, I'm living by myself and on a budget. Had leftover rice on the fridge that was planning to throw away (was soggy, overcooked) but I saved them with 3 eggs and a bit of soy sauce! So few ingredients but so much flavor, its cool to know that I can do a tasty meal in short time without having to resord to unhealthy instant ramen full of sodium or some uber eats delivery.
