nice driving Danny. wish I could get the hang of 'heel and toe' been trying all summer but I can't keep a constant pressure on the brakes while blipping the throttle, not good and would probably end in a massive crash on track.

Some serious skills mate. Have you ever thought about a HANS device? I got a broken neck from a head on, on the road, at fairly low speeds. The added weight of the helmet and the speeds I have seen you reach... I just feel the need to thow that out there. aaaaand maybe calm down a bit on public roads. Time and place yeah? Other than that your going places man, I hope someone sees your potential and gives you a faster car, coz you take that one to the limit like a breeze. Cheers for showing people what hondas are made of too, so underrated.

There's plenty we can do to improve the safety I guess. Probably stopping doing this altogether would be best, lol. HANS device has been considered since its required for racing in the UK, but the device, plus compatible helmet and seat, starts getting pricey!

I'm quite sure you can get away with just the HANS and the compatible helmet, mate. the seat shouldn't be required. prices aren't horrible on the helmets, but the HANS is pricey. looking into it now for next year actually and prices here stateside may be better?. I love watching your videos. your technique is near flawless. I read on your buddy club exhaust video (soundbyte for the beginning of vids now LOL) that someone actually critiqued you on your shifts. I was literally shaking my head. good shit, mate. cheers.

Great driving, I'm heading back up there in my S2000 again soon. It's by far the best track to drive in the UK, challenging and demanding and if you get it wrong it punishes the hell out of you.

It may make a little difference, but it's not for that. Changing down and letting the clutch go without blipping the throttle can upset the balance of the car, sending a load of weight forward and potentially causing a spin. Double declutching is also to save excessive wear on the clutch/gearbox as the gearbox is not pulling the engine revs up, you're doing it with the throttle. I do exactly the same technique and Danny does in my car, but I do it on the road as well as on the track. It's easy to learn as there is no right or wrong way of doing it. It took me about a year to find my own way of doing it, and now I do it without even thinking.
