For those trying to correct the video, please watch it more carefully. She said the tanach, and I corrected that she meant the talmud. I did not confuse the two, I was saying that she likely meant the talmud and not the tanach. Also, I explain that Hebrew is a bliblical term that is no longer used as a noun to describe Jewish people, twice. So those of you explaining that it's a biblical term may not have watched the whole video. Thanks!

Have you looked into Hebraic Roots? I'm not promoting it, and I could be wrong, but I think that's what she was talking about, not about "becoming Jewish". I was looking into it when I was religious, and they teach about "Hebrews" being what they called people back in the time of Abraham (and that the word "Hebrew" meant "crossing over", which was literal at first, geographically, and metaphorical later, meaning joining the Abrahamic religion), before "Judaism" was the "name" of the religion (Judaism being formed when the tribes of Benjamin and Judah "combined", when they (the different "sects" of the Abrahamic religio (Saducees, Pharisees, etc... something like that.. its been a while) were arguing and divided about what commandments should be followed and how). If I'm right about that being what she is into, I think she was thinking she was actually in a "more correct" version of the religion than Judaism (based on stuff like Judaism adding stuff to the Torah (originally oral traditions, that later got written down and became what's known as "the Talmud"))... also that would mean your "schooling her" about Judaism seems have been you misunderstanding what she was talking about (since she didn't really explain it well), and she's going to continue thinking you're wrong and maybe ill informed, being Jewish... sorry for the run on sentences and I hope that made sense... also, about the whole seminary school thing... she logically kicked her ass there lol... not saying whether or not she is right or whatever, but since you brought up your 2 years of seminary as some sort of "therefore i know more" card, her 4 year card trumped yours. (Edit was for punctuation errors that I caught)

It is so extraordinarily rare to find a type of pure kindness from shiting on someone at their expense, and the people you do it to deserve it. And it’s not too brutal and it’s always justified 100% of the time. It always seems like it was just enough and not too harsh. I really like it because other comics do similar acts but taint your very soul from their malice and cruelty, but with this it always feels like genuine lightness and is always maintained even during a heckler. Tanach is a Hebrew acronym that references Torah Nevi'im (Prophets) and K'suvim (Writings). It does not reference Talmud (commonly called Gemara). Mishna was the first codification of Jewish law based upon Rabbinic interpretation. Talmud is an exegesis in understanding Mishna. Tanach covers historical events (plus commandments in Torah) and were written over a span between 1400 and 300 BCE. Mishnah (written around 50-100 CE) and Talmud (written around 500 CE) focus almost exclusively Jewish law (no history). This isnt intended as a critique, but just for your education. I enjoy your work. If you're interested in learning more, feel free to hit me up.
