7:14 Such an important point that I took for granted, but I can easily see why someone might do that. You are a natural for teaching, man!

Guilty on #2 and #5. About #4: I find it most ergonomically if my arms are at a 45 degrees angle, so I chose my resting pads 2 (snare), 3 (snare), 5 (kick) and 8 (HH). A slight deviation from your standard pad layout.

And then you trip over a massive bolder that tells you "hey, this pad you have, it doesn't have to be a drum kit at all." and then you just spiral into insanity.

Do you have any courses on how to play metal drums like Lamb of God stuff? Or give private lessons? Thanks

I don't do private lessons, but I think I'll probably make a Metal Finger Drumming Course at some point in the future! And probably a double bass tutorial here on KZbin before that.

For this I recommend the "omg I need more kick" layout. You layer the lower 4 pads as the kick and just roll your hand over them in the correct timing.

Great video about self promotion.. mistake no 6 watching the video

As a drummer who also uses finger drumming to get quick ideas down in my DAW, i was intrigued by the title of this video. Initially i got completely distracted as to why you are holding a lapel mic in you hand ( for some reason this bugged the heck out of me). Then you go on to name 5 mistakes and how to fix them just like the title of the video, only the fix is, "go and check out my course for how to fix them". Maybe leave the how to fix them out of the title.

Until I see someone can fingerdrum Infant Annihilator songs, I won't see it as a real musical instrument. Now it's just a toy. JK. It's a real musical instrument. So yes, I agree with you

Ik ur trolling but there are cool tricks which I can play on pads that drummers cant do on a kit because they only have 4 limbs. Most groves and even most complex polyrhythms are playable on finger drums

My biggest mistake was to buy a maschine mikro mkII, now it's only a brick, can't do anything, can't download software. Total scam, never again.
@XxxkilloyАй бұрын
why don't you buy MK3?
@JJ79_Ай бұрын
@@Xxxkilloy Why would I, just waste of money? It's gonna be a brick also very soon, when new models comes. Thats how busines works today.

This is just regular hand percussion with drumset sounds. Instead of congas and bongos, you have electric pads. You are not playing trap kit by any stretch of the imagination.
