I think one thing that's important to consider that you didn't explain when talking about spending more money on yourself is the reason why you should do that. Often in order to obtain wealth you have to sacrifice a lot in order to get the wealth you now have. That includes working longer hours, doing more challenging things, and having a lot more stress from your responsibilities. If you don't treat yourself and continue to live a frugal lifestyle, you won't reap the benefits from the wealth you now have. Going on that fancy trip, getting that luxury car, and treating yourself will improve your lifestyle and remind you that what you're doing to earn your wealth is probably still worth it. But if you don't enjoy the fruits of your labor, you're just going to end up burnt out for dealing with all the extra negatives without rewarding yourself with additional positives.

Hi Clement, loved the video. Not sure how busy you are, but I would really appreciate a video on your investing strategies and tips. I am extremely surprised by the fact that the majority of your income comes from your investments given your previous video, and would love to hear your thoughts on where to optimize

I’ll consider doing that! It’s tricky to go down the path of giving actual investing / financial advice, but I’ll think about how I could do it.

Just put it into ETFs. They outperform 80% of professional investment managers, and you are NOT an investment manager.

Hey Clem, great tips! You always add an alternative and insightful perspective on topics like this. Question, would you ever consider doing a what I spend in a week/lifestyle content?
@clem Жыл бұрын
I could! I’m trying to do more tech-adjacent content, so I’ll definitely consider doing that if there’s interest!

Thanks for the video! But why up your lifestyle if you don't really need it and could e.g. donate that extra money to a charity? Merely to overcome that fear of spending more money than you are used to?

My question is why should I take the first one seriously if for the past few years, it has all been bubbles on top of politicians making legislation to fuck around with shorting and longing a whole bunch of stock? What if I don't want to be anal about the stock market?
