I own 98 883~Piglet~ been mine for 20 years!. I'm told constantly if I rode a bigger bike I'd kick her to curb.... I'm 4'11 and VERY relaxed and bike fits me like a glove.

I bought a bike, a few months ago. Not my first bike, but, my first Harley. It was way too small for me. I knew it, and bought it anyway. Fast as all hell though. Now, my house has become a parts warehouse. Gonna make this soon to be, bobber/chopper, fit my 6,8" limbs, and, do well at the dragstrip.

I added a batwing fairing with speakers for my ipod. Matching saddlebags with touring box, the day maker lamp, led brake light and heated handle bars. Sportsters Rock!

That's one of the things I love about Sportsters, you can make them whatever you want. Touring bike, cafe racer, scrambler. Hell, I've even got my 883 set up as a stunt bike cause there's nothing cooler than a tatted up viking popping wheelies on a Harley 😂

I like my forward controls, because the fit is more natural. The pegs are right where my feet want them to be.

Nice vid.👍 I remove the upper belt guard, but always leave the lower guard in place. That's the one that stops road debris landing on the belt and getting dragged around the rear pulley.

I have to disagree with removing the turn signals. I cant stand people who don't signal a turn or lane change. That's an accident waiting to happen.
@Velsethen6 жыл бұрын
you can still signal lane and turn changes; and you can use hand signals in place of the front signals. But still How many people even see those front signals or even the bike to begin with? I had to remove mine for a faring for long trips and really don't like the look the relocation kit gave it.
@jamessouthworth16996 жыл бұрын
LordStabbers people see lights way before hand signals. As a matter of fact as visibility decreases like in dim light or foggy weather your lights may be the ONLY thing that lets people know you are there and what direction you are turning.
@dekockemil5 жыл бұрын
I also wanted to say the same thing about no turn signals. You are living on the edge and waiting for a disaster to happen.

The 48 I bought didn't have front turn signals and I didn't even notice until I got it home. So I got LED fork wrap turn signals but I have to find where the freaking wires are to connect to lol.

Do you need your turn signals to communicate with other commuters... all you hear about is look out for motorcycles... will be riding around with one mirror missing and no turn signals what the hell you want us to do?!!!

@donchivazo65665 жыл бұрын
My suggestion since you took the belt drive would be to get a chain convertion kit. Front signal removal its a hazard, people will not see you at interceptions. Other than that is matter of taste.
@1990-t1j4 жыл бұрын
Take indictors and belt guard off? I wouldn't. They're there for a good reason. I like your bars and 2-into-1 exhaust. Much prefer mid-controls; more control. Off-road on a Sportster? Why not get a cheap secondhand dirt bike.

1) Change out headlight - sorry bro but H4 has worked for me for decades and hundreds of thousands of miles. May as well get some stickers from Pep boys and put those on your bike instead... it costs less and you still feel like you 'modded' your bike. 2) Removing the belt guard - HD's pointy heads design and implemented that for a reason, to keep road debris from getting between the belt and pulley. But hey, if aesthetics on the microscopic level are more important to you than belt longevity then have at it. 3) Remove a mirror - oh what an awesome suggestion... you think reducing the range of your rear view is a good idea? The key to road survival is being aware of your surroundings and you basically are suggesting to put a patch over one eye. Brilliant! 4) Remove front turn signals - why not just remove the rear turn signals while you're at it... it makes just as much sense. 5) Get a sissy bar - yeah, I'm not going to comment on that... just too easy of a flame on you. As for the handlebars and foot controls, not very incisive stuff there. I think anyone who's swung a leg over a motorcycle knows those options are available. So why did you post this vid as though it was informative? Do something worthwhile for your Sporty, change out the crappy fork springs and rear shocks. Those alone will greatly improve the bike as something worth riding.

Why remove the mirrors? So you have to turn ur head to switch lanes? Seems a bit silly to me but whatever your bike your problem
@onpointmotorworks74856 жыл бұрын
fernando hernandez, you need to turn your head every time, regardless of mirror status.
@fernandohernandez-wr9ui6 жыл бұрын
I never turn my head i know before hand what lane i want to get into and mirrors also help me be able to see behind me and 2 lanes over in case i need to swerve
@onpointmotorworks74856 жыл бұрын
I prefer to ride at a higher skill level. You may never experience a time where turning your head will save your life--then again, you might. I notice that most people can not maintain trajectory of their vehicles when they momentarily turn to check their blind spots, so they rely on their mirrors and simply don't turn their head. To me, that is shit riding. Turning your head will increase your skill level, while ensuring their is nobody in your blind spot--on bikes and cars.
@fernandohernandez-wr9ui6 жыл бұрын
Onpoint Motorworks i personally feel no need to put my life in danger so the higher skill level isnt for me i have put nearly 20k miles on my bike anf i have yet to be in a situation where turning my head is required but i still strongly feel that mirrors are there to help you but that is my opinion
@johnphillipsjr72385 жыл бұрын
fernando hernandez even with a mirror there are blind spots. Should always turn your head as well.

You still have way too much stuff on your bike. Take off the other mirror, look where you're going not where you been. Headlight goes, don't ride at night or people can't see how cool you look. Single seat only, no extra foot pegs and definitely no pillions. Kickstand, brake light and blinkers can go too, if damn car drivers can't see want you're doing they shouldn't be on the road. Lastly, all that extra clothes and helmet you got on, dress for the ride man not the slide. Jeans, boots, muscle shirt, shades and a bandana. Sweet.

@randyhunt75856 жыл бұрын
You do realize the stuff your taking off your bike are saftey features. If you get something caught in your belt it can cause serious damage to you and your bike. As far as turn signals go. They help others see you and your intentions. But hey as long as you look cool laying on the pavement then you have acheived your goal. Your kids will love you even more for thinking of your coolness scale instead of being around to help them grow into cool looking individuals. Good call dude. Ride cool

Yeah take off your belt Guard so someone can get pissed at you and cut your belt or so debris gets in between the pulley and belt that makes sense NOT. Take your Mirror off kids so you can’t see to change lane to the right side. Oh hell while you’re at it take off your front turn signals so the only way someone knows is if they’re behind you or you stick your arm out He’ll we shouldn’t be surprised from some kid who puts those kinds of tires on a bike smh
