I love this guy, only literally just found him and already I love his art. I watched his first video for tips and I loved how casual he was about it. At the moment im just starting out and i get really frustrated when my sketches suck butt. Watching a guy that is laughy helps me feel more calm. I look forward to watching more

Cybernetic werewolves are badass. I drew one as well lol i was fresh out of high school too. Had a whole story and team written out but soon found that to do it by myself was a little overwhelming especially for a kid straight out of high school. Great vid and even tho i already use your tips it is exactly what a struggling aspiring artist would need. Keep it up.

One thing that I find helpful is to swtich from drawing from your arm to drawing from your wrist when doing smaller drawings. Also you can even use your fingers if the details are too small. However I find that you shouldn't combine for example drawing from your arm + fingers cos it is impossible to control and can leave you angered. Its good to switch though :)

About a year ago I came across this video and tried so hard to hold my pencil the same way and it was so uncomfortable and weird feeling. I just thought I'd never get it, like my hand just did not want to do The Thing right and the other day I was sketching (on the back of a placemat at Denny's, like srs artists do) and realized I'd been holding my pencil that way for months and didn't realize I'd started to do it on my own without even thinking I was doing it and how much better my sketches where looking because of it :0

Im 14 and I really love drawing but im not really good most of the time concerning the fact that I dont use a lot of techniques, and whenever I see one, its just weird for me to use it because I've been drawing for a long time (since I was like 8) and I never changed the way I held the pencil or drew from my shoulder (I have always drawn from my wrist). I've gotten so used to it, it would probably take five years just to learn how to do a technique such as drawing from my shoulder and get used to it. I feel like I'm stuck. If I try a technique, I get frustrated and stop drawing, or start over how I normally would try drawing. If I don't ever try something different, I feel like it's just going to take longer to progress as an artist.
