My opinion on the club legend one is inexperienced managers are getting the big gigs too early. Ole after Molde and being relegated with Cardiff. Lampard after one season with derby, Pirlo with no experience, Xavi with one year in Qatar, Henry got Monaco with no experience, and Arteta after sitting next to pep for a few seasons. Those are an issue. Cruyff for example managed ajax for 3-4 seasons before Barca Rijkaard managed the Netherlands and Sparta for a combined 5 seasons before taking the gig. There's a difference between a club legend taking the job after proving they're able and a club legend taking the job just because of their name.

Of all those signings only Bruno and Ronaldo have done really well. Maguire, Cavani and Wan Bissaka have been okay. Then the rest have barely featured bar Varane whose had his injury struggles. Another myth you can debunk is that Ole promotes the youth. Yes Ole has given a lot of debuts in his first full season in charge to young players when Man United was in the Europa League group stage. But ever since there hasn’t been a youth player close to the first team. Yes Greenwood has gotten his chance and has established himself in the first team but one can argue that Greenwood is a generational talent and he would’ve gotten an opportunity under any manager. Then when you look at players Ole has inherited and signed not many of them have actually Developed their game. They’re actually still the same players just with more game time. The squad is bloated and there isn’t a clear path for players like Elanga and Hanibal into the team. Yes, he should have dealt the Mingueza situation differently, and gawd knows why on earth he attracted Luuk de Jong even if it's just on loan, but who would you have brought instead of Pedri and Araujo when they weren't fit? Puig (of who we just established he simply isn't good enough for Barcelona) and Umtiti (who is always injured)? And which centre forward would you have brought on in the Bayern game instead of Luuk de Jong? Lord Braithwaite was injured, and Memphis is more a winger than a centre forward to begin with. An excellent man manger would pull Harry Maguire out of the firing line because he’s form has been woeful and give other players a chance. Jesse Lingard pulled up trees at West Ham yet he barely gets a start under Ole. When compared to another man manger in Zidane you’d see that Zidane is good at it and he used the squad more at Real Madrid. He even convinced Ronaldo to be on the bench against smaller opposition so he could be more fresh for the bigger games. Ole basically burnt out Rashford and played him through an injury when he could’ve used other players to allow rashford to recover. We look at the Telles and Bailey, I won’t mention Van are Beek because that’s well documented, but Telles and Bailey barely play despite the dodgy form of Maguire and Shaw. The man manager myth about Ole is simply false. He has favourites and that’s it.

But is you want to talk about teams that dont attack, Harry Kane in his time under Jose contributed to 40+ G/A in a season where he played 46 games. Heung-min Son hit his best goals tally in the league and gave 27 goal involvemnets in the league all together. And there was a point in December that Spurs were sitting top of the table. Injuries rocked their campaign a bit and the lack of player belief didn't help either. So Jose is still a great coach who pulls the best from his attackers.
