🛑 EDIT UPDATE 🛑 I just ran around my house looking for any oils I could find 🤣 I used lavender, eucalyptus, peppermint, rosemary and my carrier oil is jojoba. I also added a bunch of peppermint lotion to it 🤣 I dipped a cotton ball in and just put it all over myself. I didn’t feel like dealing with cooking the garlic so I put a tiny bowl with a couple spoonfuls of minced garlic. I have the minced garlic in between me and the fan 🤣 I have always had issues with misquotes getting me. I can be in a group of 500 people and be the only one getting bit. So annoying. Hopefully my concoction works! I’ll find out shortly. 🛑 UPDATE: I sat outside for about an hour and a half and not a single bite!

One quick way to repel mosquitoes is to use incense sticks. I poke a bunch into the ground, probably about 8 sticks at a time, where no one can walk and step on them, and light them all at the same time. When those burn out, I put down more, just for as long as I'm outside with company or working in the garden. It's sort of like the smoker idea but you get to enjoy the lovely aroma of incense, and you can move them around with you.

I believe it!!! I used to be the most-attractive human to mosquitoes (for sucking my blood, of course). After taking vitamin B-complex for at least 6 months, i was free from mosquitoes and whatever bugs that stings you. Like you said, they may come around but did not attack me. Now that i’ve been off from supplements, i’m getting attacked by them again. I need to go back to Vitamin B-complex again. While waiting for it to kick in, i will be using one of Jag’s methods. Thanks, Jag!

just adding my 2 cents: I add 40% windex with my spray mixture - at this point also using a little citronella - plus a few drops of dish soap. I actually spray the mosquitos with the stream, knock them down and smash them (for fun); but I think being covered with the soapy water will keep them from successfully breeding. Also, I keep a big wading pool size tub with a few inches of slightly soapy water where the mosquitos hang out. they drown in it... hundreds of them.

Hi there 😊 have you ever tried citronella products? You could use the large outdoor candles around your garden and it usually repels most pests meaning mosquitoes and flies etc. I hope this advice is ok and by no means I'm no expert on bugs it's just something my family have used over where I'm from in the summer months and it's worked. It's like they hate the scent of citronella and like you said as well eucalyptus. Hope you get rid of them because they are so annoying and the bites can be nasty too. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you jag 💖

If you have curious, rambunctious cats or dogs that could get near candles, they could knock these candles over and/or get burned or set something else on fire. These cautions are on these products.

Let me suggest something. I had some work I had to do without postponement in my yard outside. Mosquitoes were swarming all over my arms in the backs of my hands. I went in the house and took a quick look around the only thing I had that I could even try was a bottle of Febreze. So I sprayed my arms inside and outside top and bottom I mean and the backs of my hands until they were dripping wet with the Febreze. I went outside and was out there for about 2 hours I did not get bit even once on my hands or arms. The only thing I remember the bottle saying on the back as a warning was Don't Spray it in your face and don't get it in your eyes. I really believe this stuff repel the mosquitoes.

What scent ? Chemicals ?
@COWBOYBARNMAN2 жыл бұрын
@@beblissnow5947 well as far as ingredients it just says contains water, alcohol, odor eliminator derived from corn fragrance. And as far as fragrance I'm not sure the only thing it says on the front of the bottle is spring and renewal. The only warning I see on the back says Don't Spray it in your face or get it in your eyes. I hope that helps.

I save rainwater in garbage cans for my garden but I always put 3-5 feeder goldfish in them. Some of my fish are 4-5 years old. It doesn't freeze terribly hard in winter so they just go into stasis. This catches the mosquitoes, and keeps them busy in the water there. My fish are like little piranhas.
