Andy do you think pine with shellac with acrylic paint would work on the ghost yard decor? May have to make some sort of post that would run with the entire piece to keep it from warping. Just a thought to keep cost down.

Good thought. I just don't know how long it would hold up outside and still look nice.

Not a trebuchet. That's a ballista. Still cool though

Matthew Peech walked us through the circular “chopping boards” a few weeks back. Good to hear it tackled from a different angle though.

I think I’d try cutting the boards out of one piece as far as the handle shapes. Cut the holder with the same program, but adjust for the fit. Cut the round before or after the handle part, then cut the boards apart. Probably on a bandsaw or a thin kerf blade on a table saw. Can’t tell how tight they are together, but they need a little room for possible swelling.

I have already made those hanging cutting boards out of cedar.. They will sell around 125 to 150 ... Best thing to do is design it all then do the hanger and then cut the cutting boards. I used a 1/8 endmill came out great with a little room so u can pull the cutting boards off easy they drop about an 8th but thats what u want so they can be removed easly ...

I actually saw that baseball dice game online last week and went to work in V Carve right after. I finally finished it last night, and it turned out great! I chose to put the Atlanta Braves and Truist Park logos on mine, but I will likely make another one with some custom text before I offer it for sale. I made it from Black Walnut but need to scale it down just a little. I made my panel 12x14x1, so its close to $18 in material in my area. I was thinking $60-$75 was a good price point for it. I also need to optimize my toolpaths. It was almost 3 hours in machine time.

For lawn ghosts, rigid foam insulation is the way to go. Extremely cheap ($10 for a 4’x8’) carves really easily and takes paint nicely.

The Wolf 🐺 shelf would be the best (in my opinion). It’s really unique & different (to me) I could see it being on someones (heck even my own) mantle, shelf, end table or even in a kids room (probably more so in son’s room over a daughters room, but it doesn’t really matter). Anyways Great Video & Great Content With Even Greater Ideas 💡🤔!

On Matthew Peach KZbin on Make Money Woodworking (Episode 35) he shows this exact cutting board the big box store is selling for $140.00 We will need to not go over that amount more than a few dollars or personalise it.

I don't recommend competing on price with a big box store, ever. You will always loose.
