I love the 18V stapler. Possibly the biggest surprise in my Ryobi collection. I use it frequently for assembling furniture (staple those particleboard backs to that IKEA furniture!) and recarpeting cat trees and scratching posts. It's never jammed or failed me like the nailers. I will be picking up this 4V, since I have a battery from the useless inflator.

I love mine, I just wish you had the option of having it lock in the closed position, without having to hold the trigger and take out the battery. It just seems like having it closed to store would be a safety option/standard.

Dude, you're making want to get into their 4v line. lol. Right now I go for M12 when I want something compact, but it's like you said, Ryobi comes out with stuff that no one else seems to. Maybe they'll do a 4v version of their bug zapper. If that grinder is like my old Ryobi grinder, that wrench is stored in the handle. It did look like from the picture that it was a handle for it, but if it's like mine, it just gets stored in the handle.

@codyhoward6509 the hot glue pen is my least favorite 4v tool. The tab is so flimsy it's a pain to use. I'd prefer to use the mini 18v one with the heated base you pick it up from.
@james20426 ай бұрын
The 4v line is neat but it is very limited. Avoid the screwdriver, like straight up. Only get the finish driver if you don't have the m12 (the m12 is better in every way but is 4x the price). My favorite 4v tool, the cutting tool, I found out recently that skil 12v actually has that, and it's 12v. Skil just seems to want to throw hands with ryobi in every segment, and it's really tempting me to pick up some of their 12v tools because they're not quite m12 good but they have real power unlike the ryobi 4v

7:32 I'm really hoping that they also have a tool only, I've already got 24 of these batteries I don't need any more of them. The batteries are very nice in that they can also be used as a power bank so if you're going on a trip or something toss a couple of them in your bag and you can charge your phone off of them. I'm sure that what it comes with for charging the battery is just a USB charging cable. But again I really hope that I don't have to get the kit if I want this because that will kill it I'm not going to buy another kit, I have too many of these batteries, and the kits always come with the 2Ah battery, I've already got at least a dozen of the 3Ah batteries. If Ryobi listens to you tell them we want a tool only option!

Lol it's like they saw the TTC video about the crappy LED lights & voila. Probably a happy coincidence though, because it'd take time to first draw out the plans & mass produce them but still nice to see nonetheless. Most brands have left theirs stale for 5+ yrs & the LED tech has advanced in that time (smartphones & vehicles are a perfect example). The inflator is interesting because it actually can (possibly) help replace some corded blowers for desktop/PCs - as powerful? no. - compact and light? - yes, lol.

@NukePooch1 eh as someone who works with computers and industrial electronics, a ratcheting screwdriver is fine too (ltt screwdriver is actually really good). But if you insist on a powered one, metabo hpt sells one that has 2 speeds and a clutch. It's basically a 4v drill.

Ryobi is starting to get expensive with their tools something like this grinder would normally be 89 dollars I wish Ryobi had a better warranty 2 or 3 years is not very good compared to the competition
@james20426 ай бұрын
And you can get the brushed version for 59 dollars, they still sell a ton of cheaper tools. The hp brushless tools are commonly detuned milwwukee/ridgid tools, which is not a bad thing. The hammer drill is a ridgid standard output detuned, all the impacts are detuned ridgids except the 3/8th. The sawzall, 6-1/2 inch circular saw, rotary hammer. I can keep going but it gets the point across
