The reason He most likely does that is because dogs sweat glands are on their paws so he is probably cooling off and vet told me this when my dog was having seizures and she said to cool off it’s paws

I have a theory. He might be playing with his reflection on the water. Once the water is gone, the stainless steel bowl itself has another reflection.
