You'd have to keep the hose in the shade or bury it underground to keep it from getting hot. Mount them to prevent flipping. The one that filters and recirculates is cool. Gus approved 🐕!

The first bowl looks like it has holes for pegs to drive into the ground so it makes it more difficult to flip over.

The 1st and 3rd bowls both had spots where you could secure them to a deck or even use tent stakes to hold them to the ground and prevent them from flipping over. With the 3rd bowl even having places to secure it to a vertical surface, so you could attach it to the side of a dog house or shed very easily setting it's height for various size dogs.

You can anchor any one of these bowls to a wider base (like 3/8" plywood) and it'll be much harder to tip over, if any at all. Even better, the dogs weight on the base would prevent it from tipping over while using it.
