I didn’t either… first mention I can recall. Also remember the 8rx cart tractor being call “his” at one point but that might be reading too much into it. BS should be a partner in the operation. His thinking aligns to the concept that efficiency is the key to survival

I've had allot of fun watching you and the Welker's. I used to work on a wheat farm in Montana before I became an engineer. We were driving Versatiles and JD combines. It is really interesting to see how far the state of the art has progressed. We had to make our own lines, no auto-steer. Tough year in Montana, hoping to see things come around for the next season, the last one was hard to watch. I'm retired and have preacher's hands now. It is so refreshing to see young farmers working hard and smart. It gives me some faith in the future.

That's ok Dougo I would be complaining too. Heck I complain when it takes till noon to get the dew off my soybeans. We all complain for a bit then we move on to plan 2 and if that don't work we complain again and then get over it again and move on to plan 3. I think we call that farming.

I had a forklift like that. Found that if i ran it backwards when in the unpaved driveway that it didn't get stuck as much. When it rocks when going forward you are stuck. Try foam backer rod to block the gap between the radiator and intercooler, you know the stuff you pack in a gap before you caulk it. Love the part about Nicole.

Rains a lot here in NW Washington Olympic Rain Forest (called rain forest for a good reason!) Circular storm came through dumping 4" on front side. Then 2" from within circular storm, then another 4" on backside leg of circular storm, giving me 10" in rain fall in one storm system! Amazing!

For our Silage trucks, we stuff window a/c foam between the intercooler and radiator, around the edges. Then drap some window screen over the front of the whole cooling package and fasten it with bungee cords and/or bolts that are already there. Still have to blow out everything once in a while and take everything apart every couple years to clean out, but helps tremendously

Hi Chet, For what it's worth I used to fix that feeder house chain jumping a tooth by opening the clean-out door under the feeder house at the upper end, and sticking a broken fiberglass finger from the flexhead (you know, before drapers there were full finger augers) on the upper side of the sprocket and then turning the chain in reverse. It usually moved the chain one tooth. I got lots of practice when the beans were tough. Almost always the chain on the right side of 9770 was the one that jumped. Putting the auger flight extensions on almost eliminated the jumping. Watch you guys a lot, I can relate to some of the "struggles".

You guys got a lot more rain than us up by Fergus Falls. We only had a couple of inches. I saw a car like Dougo's in Fergus Falls the other day except the paint job was the same as your pickup. When I saw it I thought boy that would look good at Laron Farms. Dougo & Chet would have matched vehicles. I hope the last few days of harvest went well. We are all done here.
