I had flashbacks working on farms in the 70s when Doug walked into the garage. I could smell the oil on the floor. The musty odor of the ropes. Thanks for the memories Doug.

Our neighbor when I was a kid was a weekend farmer. We were outside Rochester and he lived in the Cities. He only came around on the weekends in spring and fall to plant and harvest his mom's farm. That gave me and my brothers free rein to poke around the sheds during the week. It's funny how that smell: The old ropes, the dried oil on the floor, the old equipment, all those smells are in every farm shed and garage you go into. To this day those smells bring me back to when I was a kid in old farmer Kelly's shed.
