Good reviews Claire, I like the way you talk about room in the toe box etc, very few people give honest opinions on the technical stuff like that. Nice job.

Cool, it's hard to do shoe reviews as every foot is totally different, but hopefully it helps to know a few wider ones!

My road to trail shoes are Hoka Challenger. Great shoe. The only downside I'd say is the laces. But otherwise it's everything I want in a road to trail shoe.
@wildgingerruns2 жыл бұрын
Oh cool, what is it about the laces, are they stretchy like the speedgoat 5? I can't get on with a stretchy lace, I swap them out!
@Shevock2 жыл бұрын
@@wildgingerruns the opposite. Rigid. I swapped out the laces on one and just live with them on the other pair I use. I double knot them on long runs so they don't come undone. But it could be a preference thing. Maybe I'm a flexy laces guy. I never ran in the Speedgoat though I hear great things from my 2 brothers (both ultra runners here in Pennsylvania).

Loving this content - G280 weighing in at 510 grams for the pair - apparently the 280 number refers to average weight 280 grams per shoe for size 9 men
@wildgingerruns2 жыл бұрын
Yes, you are correct, it is not super clear which size that number refers to so thanks for clarifying on here, I should mention it in the next Inov-8 shoe review I do :)

Oh and the G is for Graphene not grams, it should be G 280 but I didn't put a gap in there sorry!

not technically a trail "runnig" shoe but i've been using the North Face Vectiv Exploris futurelight which I really like. Quite a bit of cushioning though so poss not right for a lot of people but they are suiting me quite well so far. :)

Oh interesting, I never hear of TNF making shoes, I'll have to investigate...

Hi Claire. What do you think of the innov8 boomerang insoles? They can't even keep them in stock
@wildgingerruns2 жыл бұрын
I love them, I don't get on with the Ortholite insoles at all so I would always swap them for these new Inov-8 ones, really like them

I'm planning to buy merrell agility, however I'm worried I'll wear out the vibram soles if I use it on road, any suggestion?

Afternoon Claire do the sportivas run true to size?I’ve just had to send a pair of inov8 trailfly back they had way too much volume in them
@wildgingerruns2 жыл бұрын
Hey Chris, yes I found them a good fit, if anything poss a tiny amount on the snug side so if poss I would buy your usual size plus the half size up and then send back the offending pair! It's worth it even if you have to pay postage, you need to try them on soon after each other around the house and up the stairs etc. Hope that helps! Claire

@@wildgingerruns morning Claire,ordered a size 8.5 and I’m glad to report they fit fine, but guess what after 5 or so miles out I was going down a bank diagonally I thought I’d picked up a stone but oh no it was one of they eyelets just digging in a little on they inside of they ankle😲so I’m gonna just see what happens

Cascadia considered here as road to trail? Really?
@wildgingerruns2 жыл бұрын
Yes, why? Padded enough for road, grippy enough for trail. But not overly grippy like a Mudclaw. It's a great all rounder
@michaelpalm22109 ай бұрын
Not my 1st choice. The treads are deep and spaced for off -road runs. They excel in the woods. Built like a tank.
