The Tokyo Rose story.. honestly, they always knew she was innocent. We even have records of testimony (suppressed) showing both an Australian officer claiming she was part of his plot to *Support* the allies, as well as of soldiers confirming her to be the voice of the individual secretly supporting them. The truth is the USA needed some Japanese targets for American anger, and she was an easy victim. Didn't help the British propaganda machine had suppressed just about ever piece of information relating to that radio station, meaning general american public, as well as brits n aussies, had no clue what transpired for a very long time. Gotta admire the brits though, no one does soft power as well as they do.

I'm not sure that Lama Linchi (No. 2) should be on this list. From what I heard, many of the peoples of Mexico at the time didn't like the Aztecs as you mention. However her story (and the full story of Hernan Cortes for that matter) is fascinating and worth a mention somewhere. AND you did state that the people in the list may be contraversial. Eh, large parts of Poland and Austria (as well as Northern Italy and Swizerland) were ancestrally very German lands, getting mad at Stauffenberg for wanting to reclaim them for his country is a bit silly. Germany's initial motivations in WW2 were pretty legit at the time, hence why appeasement was a thing. They had the claims and the rights based on the way things had always been. Things didn't really change until after WW2, and people have retroactively applied them to before the war to make Germany look completely unjustified. Don't get so bad at the normal German grunt fighting for his country. Get mad at the actual heinous shit the Nazi political party did, of which there is plenty. When people think WW2 these days they think of the Holocaust first, then apply the war after. A lot of people have a warped perspective of WW2 as a result of how they were taught about it.

Absolutely love your videos and the very profound depth you go to in order to sustain interest and anticipation. However, I cannot agree with your alternative theory about Von Stauffenberg unless everything I ever read about him, his family and upbringing is wrong. I don't believe he would have endangered his friends, family and fellow hero's to promote or retain the aristocracy. Their aim was to remove the "scourge" of Hitler and his acolytes from German life and history. The acts of Von Stauffenberg and all concerned in the plot were those of extremely brave individuals.
