@@King-ze2kt palatine didn't care whether droids or clone did better.... He was rigging the war politically, and whichever turned out to be better, he'd use for his galactic empire. Droids had quite good shots. The same as storm troopers. The typical screen play of terrible shots is story telling technique. The E-5 blaster was considered good, because of its shear firepower, it's was almost a heavy blaster. But it was not a reliably accurate weapon. The B2 twin barrel repeating wrist blasters, we're considered much more accurate, and despite their lower energy per bolt, still had their deadly rate of fire. In combination with their hardened frontal plates, and either wrist rockets, and Fletcher blaster, or guided rocket launcher for the left arm made them so scary. I suppose a fun fact about the Backtoid armour E-5 is they did consult with a weapons manufacturer to produce the high powered variant. Which was considered much more accurate. You can see B1's with it in attack of the clones, and The original battlefronts.

You forgot the droid Commander from Phantom Menace who fought the Gungan army. He not only commanded the forces that took over Naboo, but he also found the Gungan City, and beat the Gungans in the end (which is more than what even Grievous could accomplish). The only reason he lost was because A. Jar Jar kills him out of sheer dumb luck like usual (secret sith powers) and B. because his whole army got shut down. If all droids were like him, the Clones Wars might've been even more taxing on the galaxy.

Yes, even if not all droids (expensive), at least all commanders like the classic OOM-series, so the need for the likely more expensive development of super tactical droids and above could be avoided. Although, we wouldn't really know how well OOM-9 was programmed for war, since he was in charge of an occupation scenario, and the suppression of insurrectionists (Gungans) whose technology was not nearly as refined. Against an army of fully-trained and modernized soldiers (Clones), as well as more brilliant, living tacticians, an OOM-series commander even as prestigious as OOM-9 himself may be tested beyond the limit.

There were a small number of them that were reprogrammed by the Republic to serve them, such as the ones that were painted blue in the citadel arc of TCW. Those droids had a refreshing dose of slight intelligence.

You have a good point, it just goes to show how the Jedi were somewhat reconditioned during the Clone Wars. Despite being supposed pacifist, they appear to grow to relish attacking and destroying battle droids, especially Jedi like Anakin. It is made worse by the fact that a lot of those droids had unique and funny personalities, and I feel like destroying them just fed Anakin's dark side.

224 (The commander at number 1) is in my personal opinion, the best droid character and the best side antagonist of the entire clone wars, he's smart, kinda funny, and he has the classic B1 voice, what more could you need.

I love these kinds of videos always lots of laughs and a barrel of monkeys fun. I too feel sorry for some of the droids, which is why I liked when they reprogrammed some and put them under R2's command, as well as the old 2-D drawn comics of the clone wars of a B1 Battle Droid who falls runs away from a battle and then is chased by a B2 and then escapes barely but runs out of power and sits down for many years. Many years later he is found by some farmers and they take him home charge him up and fix him some, then he has a new life that he never would have had if he had followed the other droids to certain death.

So, I've been showing a friend of mine the Clone Wars series and occasionally sharing bits of lore to help his experience. Early on I told him about how many of the B1s were built for central control (like in The Phantom Menace) but later retrofitted to be "independent", and that this is supposedly the cause of much of their stupidity. Now whenever we see a B1 do something dumb, we both say "It's probably a retrofit" at the same time, as an inside joke.

Regardless of their stupidity, the droid army is still my favorite faction in Star Wars, and I love how one of the main characters in the Star Wars Aftermath novels took and modified a B1 and turned it into a complete BEAST!!
