How about that B2 Super Battle Droid in S1E1? The one where Yoda uses the force to pick it up and use it against its allies. This droid speaks out, not only understanding that something very wrong was happening, but even trying to tell its fellow units to get out of the way since it couldn't stop shooting. To make this sadder, when Yoda lowers it, it starts to shout out "Don't Shoot! I'm on your side!" I feel bad for this droid.

For real, I could feel the horrible reality of that moment; that something was forcing me off the ground and making me blast at full power and speed on my own allies it and I could do little more than try to warn them even though they would only have a second at most to react. But worst of all is just seeing your comrades getting mowed down by your own hands and you are completely powerless to stop. I don’t think anything with a mind could ever live with that going forward. 😢 droids scream in terror just like us, remember that.

Hey Geetly's I swear there was a moment where a droid did something pretty amazing, but I can't remember the episode. Now technically I wouldn't say this is an 'Over-qualitfied' Droid as this was a super tactical droid, but I seem to remember that during an encounter between one and Anakin the tactical droid dodged Anakin's lightsaber and managed to punch him in the gut, which I have to say is pretty impressive.

By the way, this is merely a "What If" scenario I made up. Luke, Rey, and Chewbacca are suddenly surrounded by Droidekas and Magnaguards. Chewbacca lets out a loud roar as he aims his Bowcaster at one of the Magnaguards. They hear heavy footsteps and heavy coughing. {???: I knew I would find something...} they heard another cough. {???: ...interesting on my journey back to Geonosis.} Rey looked genuinely confused, but Luke and Chewbacca tensed up. Luke heard Obi-Wan and Yoda's voices telling him to run. {Luke: Ben has told me a lot about you.} They saw a polished white and black droid with a long grey and red cape walking behind the Droidekas and Magnaguards. The plating was solid, and there was one yellow eye with a snake-slit pupil. The other hole had a cybernetic red eye. {Luke: But he told me he killed you, General Grievous.} Grievous coughed again, and reached for his cape. {Grievous: He did.} He then split his arms, and ignited three lightsabers and activated a blaster. Grievous faced Luke as the others faced Rey and Chewbacca. Luke finally managed to stun Grievous for a split moment. He raised his lightsaber for a killing blow, but as he brought it down, Grievous merely tilted his head, not even bothering to defend. The lightsaber stopped dead in its tracks as it hit Grievous in the collar plating. {Luke: What!?} Grievous laughed and coughed. {Grievous: Even I don't know what it is, but they weren't wrong about it being immune to lightsaber blades. Also, I have another surprise for you.} He removed his cape, and extended a pair of what only looked like wings after the energy webbing was deployed, and what looked like a tail with a large club-type head. The Magnaguards each pulled out a second spear, and the Droidekas each retracted their legs and began to float. Luke and Rey soon noticed that the Force wasn't working on these Droids. They took a closer look, and noticed that each one had a strange blue stone in their chests. {Grievous: I learned from my previous mistakes, Jedi. Now you will die.} You decide how this ends.

The one that stood out to me was in Destroy Malevolance. While his companions see Jedi and immediately shoot, getting their bolts reflected onto them and killing them, one droid realizes that shooting the Jedi would be a bad idea that would only lead to the bolt being used against them, and instead GETS REINFORCEMENTS. I think those rupublic trio were so effective because they were facing other battledroids. The main enemy of computer programs in unpredictable situations. The clone come up with a crap load of them due to being organic beings. For droids racing then it wouldn’t be unrealistic for them to often just get error codes when clones do things they aren’t prepared for. Yet when facing other droids who to don’t engage is those unpredictable actions they are able to calculate there way to victory.

Those last 3 were hands down my favorite. I would love to see more droids get reprogrammed to join the Republic in a future season, if there is another one. Or maybe one would just become self aware and try joining the republic, similar to the lone battle droid.

What about the B1 Battle Droid known as R0-GR? R0-GR, or "Roger", was a B1 battle droid who served the Freemakers, a human family of scavengers that traveled throughout the galaxy. He was a veteran of the Separatist Droid Army during the Clone Wars, and was programmed to serve as Rowan Freemakers best friend. He had a mismatched torso and right arm. Personality and traits: R0-GR was a B1 battle droid of the Separatist Army that survived the Clone Wars. He had a friendly character but was slightly misunderstood. Roger was programmed to served as Rowan's best buddy and had a reputation as a simpleton. Due to his Clone Wars experiences, Roger had a fear of Jedi. Skills and abilities: R0-GR had a mismatched right arm and torso and could also bake cookies. Like all battle droids he knows how to fire a blaster and fly the Starscavenger. Behind the scenes: R0-GR is voiced by Matthew Wood, who had previously voiced the battle droids, General Grievous, Wat Tambor, and several other Separatist characters in the Cartoon Network TV series Star Wars: The Clone Wars. His name is an obvious reference to the battle droids' catchphrase. There is also a faded Trade Federation symbol on his torso.

There was one Droid left out in the video. I think it's in the episode Destroying the Malevelence. This Droid stated that the noise he and his buddy heard was a ship docking at one of the emergency air locks. He was quickly dismissed as having his circuits loose. Turns out it was Obi-Wan and Anakin. When they got in, they in countered the Droids with the one saying he knew it. They were quickly dispatched.

I personally like the droid commander in rebels. Who knew they were getting shut down so he personally denied the shut down in favor of him and his troops and ultimately took a final stand with Rex and the rest. Too damn smart,deserves his own list

Those three reprogrammed battle droids managed to maintain their cover throughout their mission, even going as far as to improvise when they ran into trouble with a droid commander. It IS true that if it wasn't for the warden at the Citadel being informed that the prisoners never made it to interrogation, they would've gotten off the planet in question and managed to bring back both halves of those coordinates for a particular hyperspace route that were crucial to turning the tides of war. On a side note, I'm a bit surprised no one linked the attack Grievous launched to a possible leak of information.

With #3, i think the Clones were moreso humoring the battle droid rather than being tricked into thinking its comrade was the commander.
