Good morning Doc mas maganda na term ay iwasan not itapon po. Im diabetic since 2007 what im doing is 1/2 vup rice brown a day or 25gs of bread but dont eat rice if you eat bread, no sugar no soft drink, 1kind of fruit only a day, but not manggo ripe, no atis, mo Chico no melon no pine Apple, apple 1/2 only,😊 and eating yogurt,😊 or drinking yogurt, if poultry poultry lang if meat meat lang, if seafoods seafoods lang pero 110 gs lang di pede sabay sabay, vegetable Salad, 🥗 and vegetables use olive oil or canola oil less salt and more water and Exercise siempre ako dahil old na walking 45 mis share ko lang po ginagawa ko thank you po

I am a Filipina maried to a German Doctor. We enjoy eating all foods but all in moderation. So far our blood test are all normal. Thanks God.

Good for you and all those who really know "moderation". Most people tend to overeat because they fall into "sugar addiction" and cravings get out of hand. We advocate this lifestyle because this has helped us with our own "sugar/carbs addiction" and we are in full control now, not the other way around. Thank you and God bless!

dra good morning, my mother has been eating rice, bread for more than 95 years. at 100 she is still walking. Her brains are functioning very well, clear eyes, speaks well. She died at 101 years and 3 months. at 101 yrs and 2 1/2 months she starts to gradually taking small portion of rice and bread, after 7 days she stops eating. After another 7 days she died. Her mother died at 106 years eating rice and bread as well.

In her generation, sugary and highly processed foods and oils are not yet abundant, unlike these times. Does she overeat? If not, that's one of the reasons too :)

I think that is true it could be in the genes I took care of elderly here in US they eat bread potatoes rice they even smoke lots of juices they diabetic with insulin the oldest of them Grandma Reva died in her sleep at age 96

Balance diet is better ang katawan nangangailangan din nang sugar pag mababa ang sugar mo delikado din pakakainin ka nga nang dalawang kotsaritang asukal para bumalik yong sugar mo nakakalito itong mga doktor may iba againts sa uminom nang maraminfg tubig yong ibang doktor mas maganda maraming tubig more than 8 glasses.

Lahat ng sinabi mong itapong pagkain kinakain ko ! Umi inom lang ako ng sapat na maaligamgam na tubig umaga hanggang gabi.82 yrs. Old na ako !walang ano mang karamdaman! Salamat sa panginoong Diyos.

I think the appropriate word to use instead of" Itapon" (throw away) is either "limit" or "cut down". ( bawasan o iwasan).

You’re very true, kasi kung may diabetes ka masyado naman yung lahat ideprive ka na sa lahat ng pagkain. Yes the right word is ilimit or occassionally pwede pa ring kainin. Ok lang yung rice icut mo, mga potatoes pero pati ba sweetener kailangan mo na ring itapon?? Getting deprived for everything is stressful din.

Hindi nmn literal na ganun ang ibig nya sabihin. Gusto lng nya istress out na i-cut nyo sng cobsumption dun. At nasa inyo p rin ang desisyon kung sundin nyo o hindi.

Na diagnosed ako last August ng diabetes. Kumain lng ako ng okra png ulam at ang sabaw ng okra ay bale kape ko. In just two weeks bumaba ang sugar ko. Monitored ako within 3 months. Pg continuous ng normal ippatigil n ang meds control n lng s pgkain. Self-discipline lng sa diet. Thanks God!

My uncle do that okra everyday soak at night n drink the water in the morning he refused to drink metformin tab n insulin ..he died last year....sad....Me 27yrs with jergens tab n 3shots of insulin per day thnk God I'm still alive..I'm 65 yo now...so okra isn't really cure diabetes needs the help of med too...fr a nurse 35 y ago here in Vancouver Canada....thnks...

Year 2016, I was diagnosed as prediabetic before and with gout. From 65 kgs , I lost weight to 47kgs kasya na damit ng first born daughter ko, so small. I only eat avocado alone , no sugar or evap milk. I ate Baguio pechay and carrots with mayonnaise as ensalada. Pero nagka-pandemic 63kgs na naman ako , nilalanggam panty ko, may mga sugat ako tinamaan lng ng eco bag books gamit ko sa work or nag-grocery ako, may nana agad sa right leg ko nagnanana na, I put Katialis and petroleum jelly dumami pa ang dark spots. i bought glutha whitening soap kase noticeable ang dark spots. Expensive lotions. Now,,,, I realized Why? All 5 food na yan favourite ko! Nasa house ko right now! Now i will start to diet like what i did last 2016. Thank you very much po.

Watching from Australia 🇦🇺 Pilipina I lived here for 44yrs.when I first came there’s no rice in supermarkets you only see them in China town so in my first here hindi ako kumain ng kanin for a year and then I met a Pinay they took me to China town and I was happy to eat rice but rice its not my staple food I’m from Bisaya corn grains is more what I like to eat so it doesn’t matter if I don’t eat rice I’m more satisfied with corn grains

Doc maraming salamat po sa mga informations, sinonod kung lahat ang video mo and im happy now because my blood sugar is normal now. I have been a diabetic since 1999 for 25 years hindi bumaba ang aking blood sugar kahit nag dieta ako nag exercise ako but now since i follow your advice no carb at all for only 2 days my blood sugar is normal its only 5, its hard to believe but it is reality. I was thinking that i will not heal anymore as what mostly I heard from many people that diabetes is forever but they all mistaken. I almost cry to see my result that my blood sugar is normal because i wish this for 25years already. Maraming salamat doc na pakaganda ang iyong programa, sana marami pang mga tao matutulongan nyo katulad ko. Surely the Lord will repay you by supporting you all the times. God bless po

My Gandma is 97 year-old and she has been eating rice, Sweet potato, Saba na Saging, Pork meat when she was a kid til now at araw² pasyang kumakain, and i asked here what is the secret of a long-life and she told me, just eat an organic foods such as Fruits, vegetables, and let it grow on your own garden, and avoid consuming foods that are cooked in oil, Flour, Sugar &etc, instead Cook it on water only and you're good to eat...now she's very healthy and active she can even run and can even Chop a wood as fuel for cooking, she doesn't look like a 97 she looks 20 years younger. Sabi nya wlaang ginawang pagkain na nakakasama, nagging masama lang sya kung paano mo ito lutuin, tulad ng karne hindi nmn masama nagging masama lng sya sa kalusugan kung lulutuin mo ito na maraming tuyo, asukal, oil at mga seasonings..

Amazing tips doc limit intake lng cguro hnd nmn yan basta avoid completely . I lost 13 kilos less carbs intake 2 x a week nlng nlng ang carbs dati daily me mag carbs 1k calories per day and exercise regularly .

Maraming salamat Doc. ng marinig ko ang vlog mo at sinunod ko ang Safe, Caution and Danger Food list. Hindi na ako nag meryenda dahil after 6 hours mula ng Low Carb Meal feeling mo busog ka pa rin. Hindi tulad dati na pag may rice at iba pang startcy and seet fruits ay after 3 hours ay gutom na uli. Thanks a lot and God bless us all.

I prefer to call it low carbon rather than fasting. It means a lot for those who still want a low carb diet. It also mean choosing food with low carb or with minimum energy food particular if your taking prescribed medicines.

Ang mama ko 80 yrs old na kumakain kahit anong pagkain sa awa ng Dios hanggang ngayon malakas pa. ang Dios ang may ari ng ating buhay. Bago mo kainin yong pagkain pasalamatan mo mona sa Dios. Yong hindi natin kainin ibigay natin sa iba para makagawa tayo ng mabuti

Ang grandparentsko malaks sa kanin saka paksiw lang lagi ulam. Vetsin at asin lang sa kusina.Umabot sila ng 90yrs old never naospital walang maintenace. Sikreto maaga matulog at maaga gumising. nagtatrabaho na sa bakuran at sa bukid.simpleng buhay.

Doc I hv diabetes for 27yrs now n my doctor here in Vancouver Canada required me to eat bananas in breakfast for potassium..daily maintenance jergens tab plus 3shots of insulin...those who comments itapon they literally criticize u...u mean avoid that foods right...BTW I substitute pearl barley for rice... I was a nurse 35yrs ago...now I'm 65yo my 3mo A1C still 7 to 7.9....too frustrating what's ur advice coz doctor here r not same advice... thnks n godbless...

In my family we all these foods mentioned almost araw araw but in moderation, hindi mo kailangan itapun, hwag lang kumain ng marami. My family are all healthy

Hello Dr Jo. Wala po sa family namin ang may diabetes. Maingat ako sa pagkain kaya di nko kumakain ng red meat taba ng pork at chicken skin. Since I was little till now di ako umiinom ng any soda. Last year na diagnosed ako na nag exceed sa borderline blood sugar ko! Naging comfort food ko ksi ang banana especially saba kaya ko 5pcs a day. Then palagi kain ko ng cereals oats at loaf bread. But then sinanay ko sarili ko to eat raw ampalaya carrots pipino. Matagal na din di ako kumakain ng any fried food. 68 yrs nko at may essential hypertension. Nsa lahi po nmin HB at dala na din daw ng stress from work nang nagtatrabaho pa ko. Losartan maintenance ko at recently metformin pero after 3mos I stopped dahil sa side effects nito nbasa ko sa Google or vlog ng ibang doctor. May nagbigay sa akin ng bignay or bugnay wine at iyon muna iniinom ko mag 1month na. Na Google ko din health benefits nito. Ask klang as a doctor yourself, if ano opinion nyo sa bignay or bugnay wine. Salamat at God bless us all.

As for me i drank boiled 6pcs insulin plants, tumb size ginger and a 1 tbsp of apple cider vinegar. Boiled in 2 glasses of water for about 10 minutes, then put the 1 tbsp of apple cider vinegar then drink after dinner. Its an advice from an holistic doctor...

Good evening po dok, 6 months na po ako no carb, since I started listening to your vedios about life without rice. It really helps me on my diet since I am diebetic. But these past few months i feel something na po, every night madalas po ako atakihin ng pulikat na minsan feeling ko mawawala na ako sa mundo sa sobrang sakit pati po paghinga ko naapektuhan nahihirapan po ako huminga.. suggestion po dok??

For me it is better to eat in moderation.. exercise daily for at least 20 to 30 mins a day.. more veggies less oil.. lessen artificial flavouring..

i am on a lowcarb diet for 10 months now... am enjoying beautiful changes on my health... i dropped all my 8 diabetes meds after discarding all the garbage foods that i learned from DJGCRT... RICE BREAD PASTA ROOTCROPS FRUITS... i shifted to:EGGS MEAT WITH TABA LECHON KAWALI VEGGIES... ILOVE CHICKEN MEAT PORK BEEF CARABAO... i avoided processed foods... i only use COCONUT COOKING OIL IN FRYING... MAS MALAKAS NKO NGAYON NO PAIN OF ANY KIND... I EXERCISE AND EXPOSE TO SUNLIGHT FOR 20min daily... i only drink WATER 2LITERS ADAY... NO COLORED DRINK... I take some SALT... NO MORE MAINTENANCE MEDICINE AT MY 71 AGE... AM HAPPY AND GRATEFUL TO TAKE CARE OF THE BODY GOD GAVE ME... THANK YOU MUCH DR GRACE... YOU'RE GENIE IN DISGUISE... A GREAT HELP TO ALL HEALTHWISE!!!

I have stopped my diabetes meds since I stopped consuming sugar, rice & bread & went on a semi keto diet. I still consume a little rice or bread from time to time but not as many as before. I'm now trying carnivore coz I really cant get my BP to be normal & it's still rises beyond normal even with meds. I don't have breakfast just coffee with keto powder & when I first started I got into ketosis & weighed 74kg from a high of 90kg when I started this year. I was eating a lot of veggies, eggs & portions of meat then my weight went up to 78kg! Hmm bakit kaya? Then I found out that all plants pala ay carbs! ! I hope I can do a full carnivore or BBBE challenge when I get rid of all the carbs, salamat doc said video na ito na nishare ko kay miss that has both a stubbornly high sugar & mindset. More power po, I hope more pinoys can be re-educated with this type of videos, kain is an auto correct lol

Thank you for your blog Doc, I just encounter it now as I was browsing utube. May I know if you have the lists of healthy foods that we can eat to remain healthy? I’m now going 65 and pre-diabetic that is why I enjoyed watching ur blog. I would appreciate it very much if you could give us the lists of food that will make us healthy while at same time avoiding those high sugary foods. Doc sana next topic po, mga foods na pasado sa low carbs na mapagkukuhanan ng pottassium and other electrolytes.. Thanks you so much for all the videos.. i already lost 3.5kilos for 2months and 1week of following LCIF.. after 6months of LCIF magpapalab test na ako if talagang hindi na ako prediabetic kasi sa self checking ko before 120 to 130 minsan nag 147 pa.. but now after a month pa lang of LCIF its 83 to 97.. 😍

I love LCF Doc nung nalaman ko process ginawa ko agad, from 90kgs to 70kgs+. Then last August 2020 tinamaan ako ng Acute Heart Failure samantalang bumaba na ang timbak ko that time pero na-hospital ako ng 9 days. Sabi ng Doctor nagkaroon ng bara sa nerve ng heart kaya nawalan ng air flow sa pagpump ang sabi. Kahit pala healthy pwede pa din tayo tamaan ng sakit out of nowhere. Lahat ng info sa video na to sinunod ko para ma-achieve pagbaba ng weight. Ano sa palagay mo Doc bat tumama sa akin yung ganitong attack? Salamat sa video.
