Here a tip, if you often get freezes/studders on the Portal. Go to your Network setup name on PS5, press options on it and switch your mtu to manual. Then lower it slightly from 1473 from the default 1500. You get less data drops, which means less freezes and audio cuts. It makes the experience practically FLAWLESS... 😎👍

Thank you! I’m going to do this tonight. I had no idea my PS5 defaulted to 2.4ghz even though I have 5ghz broadcasting on my WiFi. Every little change I’ve made has had a big impact, but there’s still a little bit of stutter, so hopefully this will do the trick!

@@heyimgoingtoplaysomegames If your getting little to big hitches and skips, this'll definitely due the trick. Keep in mind tho, the closer you can get to that default 1500 the better. You do lose a little of it pin sharpness at 1473, you should test to see what you can get away with... 😉👍

It’s not letting me I went to network shows nothing but connection status and settings which don’t let me do anything

@@anthonytim89 clink on settings then setup connection, and press start(options) on your network name to bring up the settings... 👍

Ive been enjoying GTA V online since i got the portal. Ive put around 80 hours into GTA on the portal alone in the last 2 months 😅 best device ever. If it ever broke i'd be out purchasing another immediately! Barely used my PS5 on TV since getting it also.

That damn interaction button is a pain on GTA with the portal.. Every time I think I got it, I end up forgetting the next time I go to use it. Also took me a while to get the hang of my jet on a 8inch screen, but it's just getting smoother every time I get on. I'll also buy another if something happens to this.. hoping for a pro version in the future!

@@travisnai4069 haha! I thought it was just me being useless with the interaction menu! Every time it goes first person view etc. Not ideal when you need to load up armor and snacks quick! I want to do all the missions to get acid lab etc but they all look too hard to do solo 😅

Tip #2 is also important because every time you press the PS button it will gradually wear down its functionality, so bypassing that is great!

@TechMarkGames Here are my experiences with the Portal 1. thank you for the tips how to connect my Portal to my PS5 via my phone hotspot! A service guy from my phone company assisted even further : we managed to connect my Portal via my Android 4G hotspot with STILL NAT 3! Don't ask me, 😊 it was a matter of test-failure- success. It had something to do with refreshing the UPnP and disabling-reenabling the firewall. 2. the Portal really is but a streamed copy of a PS5's screen. BUT thanks to it, THIS was possible: playing a COUCH multiplayer of Rocket League, NHL, FC24, Minecraft, Gang Beasts, or Minecraft Dungeons with player one actually lying in hospital several miles away playing on the Portal, while the other 3 players played home on the same PS5 the portal was hooked up to with no extra lag! 3 Online-only games are a problem on a 4G Android phone though, even with a maximum data speed and unlimited subscription. Lags, dropouts and disconnected lots of times. Tried Riders Republic and it did just that. Tried Fortnite and my Portal was like LOL and disconnected. 😅 So yes, a 5G unlinited data subscription is a must.

@zeikt11 if you search up the exact game it should say download. If it says purchase then check to make sure your logged into the profile your page the purchase on. Some games aren’t backwards compatible between the PS3 -PS5

Hey instead of pressing x to connect. You can just Press the Big Round Preview screen in the middle of the screen to play
