It will take Robertson a season or two. I hope he is given time. Robertson is clearly the best coach for the job, and has been for some time.....

Rassie has shown quite remarkably that the 4 year period between WCs is to be used to develop a squad and cohesion between players that reaches a pinnacle at the tournament. Results in between are important...but losing games are used by him as teaching experiences...as valuable as winning. The most important part of this strategy is the buy-in of fans. Rassie has that trust with SA supporters. They don't like losing games in between WCs obviously but they they trust the process and don't call for Rassie to abandon new tactics or players. No other national coach has had this support in recent years...except maybe France and Wales. If NZ or England lose games in the RC or 6N...the pressure is immediately put on the coach. And this ultimately hampers development towards the most important end goal. Look at SA in the last WC...they played more players out of position than any other nation. There were games in the WC where 3 scrum halves were on the field. And they replaced pivotal players at the drop of a hat...like replacing Libbock for Pollard...a guy who wasn't even chosen in the WC squad! If only NZ had shown the same bravery...Damien Mckenzie was on 🔥 in the WC....but he was never considered for a proper starting place. And that is because Foster had picked him before and he had made mistakes...so he couldn't pick him again in the WC for fear of the backlash it would cause if they lost. For NZ to win the 2027 WC, Robertson has to be given the luxury of failure.

We always have a wealth of backs who arw world class. Our front row is looking solid but I see locks as a problem and loosies as a problem in terms depth. No one in NZ is going to repla ce the work that Ardie did around the park

I would agree with you. I just remember that the ABs had one go-to loose trio that played together from 2009 till 2015 and I think thats the problem they have now. Who's best playing together as a trio? Same as that 11 Kahui 14 Jane 15 Mills/Dagg.

Scott Razor Robertson has barely a month in assume the mantle of All Blacks coach and the expectations are over rated.The All Blacks face a busy international schedule 2024 and I hope the country is fully supportive of Razor and his coaching staff than was shown Ian Foster.i for one would be an interested spectator to follow with much anticipation of how Razor and his team can unite the cream of New Zealand rugby players, with the goal of peaking for the 2027 RWC. There is the added pressure of a heavy international program that will be the standard bearer for Robertson, the Bledisloe and the rugby championship, the Nelson Mandela just how relevant are these trophies compare to winning WEBB ELLIS

Scott is going to be such a disappointment. Everybody in New Zealand think he has already won the 2027 world cup. The World Cup is not Super Rugby.

Nah, personally I’m just hoping for some consistency. We’re not always going to win but the last few years on the rollercoaster have been rough. At some point NZR were going to have to take a shot at someone new - things were getting stale.
