A face towel stowed in the cooler with ice or ice substitute and some water can work wonders. Wring it out and wrap around forehead, temples, sides of neck, and nape. The effects can be almost miraculous.

I bought a cooling towels from Sukeen, but any good one will work. You soak the towel (fresh water preferably) wring it out, give the material a few snaps and put it on your head or neck. I put it on the top of my head and neck, then crossed in over me neck and tucked it into my performance shirt. It's cooling affect is amazing.

I wear super light weight linen beach pants when I'm fishing here in Florida. They are cooler than the typical fishing pants, and still protect me from the sun.

Living in Florida, I wear Bealls Reel Legends all summer except for work. They have that lightweight cooling style shirts and pants. Good stuff and cheaper than most. You can also bring small ice packs to put on the sides of your lower back/kidneys. This helps to cool you down as well.

Have you tried Aftco shirts like Stax or Yurie with air-o Mesh & Afcool? They're the most breathable, coolest for hot humid weather that I have found.I think they're amazing.

I keep a small Tupperware container on the kayak and if I get too hot I can scoop up some water and pour it over my shirt to cool me down some

Can fish see lures at night?

They can, but there are variables that might make it harder or easier to see. Other senses might be heightened though, so adding scent to lures would be a good option.
