@parikshitrao42085 жыл бұрын
@@Burn_Angel the awkward moment when you don't know you're wrong and call someone else wrong. Dark matter for all intents and purposes doesn't exist physically, from what we can tell (as in the sun has mass that's why it exerts gravity). The only reason we think that dark matter exists is because if it didn't then there wouldn't have been sufficient gravitational pull to form galaxies. But galaxies do exist but they don't have a proportional mass to gravity ratio. Basically we have no way of ascertaining that dark matter exists other then the fact that it has a gravitational pull. ( Hence dark matter knocking on the door but the hallway being empty. As in unless you don't check the gravitational pull of the hallway in light of its total mass you wouldn't be able to find the "dark" matter) But don't worry this is basically the frontier of science and just to tell how wonky some theories explaining it are. Some scientists think that dark matter gravity is the gravitational pull from the matter of some other adjoining dimension. Yeah it's wild wild West out there.

I, personally, am a man of logic and science. I’ve struggled with whether there is a god or not, and with my conclusion I do believe there is. It’s because I find comfort in it along with aiding to help answer not the questions of how, but mostly the ambiguous “why”s. I’m also a huge fucking space nerd, so I know how all the theories work on a basic level like string theory or how everything formed, or even why the universe started. Personally, I don’t see god as a humanoid entity but as an overseer to his creation, which happened to spawn life in some areas, leading to a form of guidance along with letting us fuck up a shit ton. I’m not really a religious guy, but I do claim myself to be Christian, but with some modifications.
@rexkraft_5 жыл бұрын
@@ptrkmr but why would you want to use god to answer any "why?". "god did it" has no explanatory power, you could as well be saying "exurb1a did it" and it would answer the "why" just as fine

Diego Gonzalez Just because there is some fundamental level where it’s had to have been created. I’m not preaching it as truth, it’s just my personal interpretation. Also it just makes life easier and helps me find comfort in going about my day. I’d rather settle for that for now in my life rather than devoting all my time to finding spiritual validation when my life is quite busy at the moment. However, I don’t just want to reject the entire notion of religion because it has comfort in it.

@@ptrkmr well, its also very satisfying to take a placebo believing that it will work when there is no cure for a disease Point being, how something makes you feel, tells you nothing about that thing's veracity, in this case, how one answer to an unanswered question makes you feel, tells you nothing about the veracity of said answer, and i suppose that you care to know if what you believe in is true or not, dont you?

There needs to be a word for this emerging genre of entertainment. I also watch a lot of ContraPoints, HBomberguy, and Bill Wurtz. And while obviously there's a lot of differences in these channels, they seem to be unified by a fusion of casually explained academic concepts, absurdist comedy rooted in postmodern attitudes about human insignificance, and fast, jarring editing which almost seems to aim to simulate the experience of taking stimulants or hallucinogenics. I really like this style, and I'm hoping it catches on as the voice of Gen Y's sense of humor about our own existential angst. But like everything, it's not really real until the phenomenon is given a name. Cosmic horror-comedy? Educlash? Neo-absurdism?

You have been doing this for years, but I just discovered your channel. Me from the past is glad to see that you have kept up the good work which I would have wished you to do, so good on you. Keep doing that.

Pff. Most of us are probably lucky to even get as far as 'beta'... Then again I'm not sure how that works amongst us women... We have a heirarchy, I think... But it's too confusing for me...

2:50 I think this question is flawed. We know what consciousness is, what we don't know is what qualia is. Conciousness is just the physical interactions in our brain, while qualia is the actual experience of the physical interaction in our brain. The real question is: why do I experience my brain and no one else's? What makes my brain special? How would my experience change if my brain was split in two, cloned, then reformed with a cloned and original half? Would I be both at once? Would I be only one at a time? If I am both, then why? Why, why, why?! These are the true questions, as while you can come up with some answers, every answer has strange implications. And even then, each answer has no experimental evidence, so it's all speculation.

Hey exerb1a. In the part about human mating protocols you said 'can be more complicated THAT that...' instead of 'than that'. Just letting you know someone's watching. Keep making good shit you beautiful alpha.
