I have a rolling pin my Great Grand Father whittled out of oak. He put a dowel on each end and carved the handles out of pine. I am the 4th generation to make pies and biscuits with it. He never bought a lathe always carved by hand.

These were awesome pieces that looked easy for a practiced woodworker. I'm just getting into woodworking pretty much as I just retired and as I inherited most of my late Uncles wood from his shop of over 60 years I have almost an unlimited supply of many species of all sizes from buckets of leftovers to huge slabs of walnut weighing several hundred pounds. I have made some nice shop projects but really want to start doing pens and such and as I have the wood and time I wish to make some very nice cutting boards as well. I will be checking out your other videos as well. I liked those easy wood turning tools you used also. Great work.

Thanks! Wow, that sounds awesome! Turning is a lot of fun. I get stuck on it for months at a time when I should be making things for the house.

@SeanRubino5 жыл бұрын
It’s a 2” sanding disc and pad from woodturnerscatalog.com. It has been a great little purchase. The handles were all cherry.

What did you use to coat the cutting board
@SeanRubino4 жыл бұрын
I used a product by Watco called Butcher Block Oil & Finish. It’s a good food grade finish but if you put too many coats on it becomes just like polyurethane.

I had to check my volume. Great job Sr.

Thanks! I cranked the volume down because my phone picks up my Mini Split noise.

Im curious why you wouldn't make this into 5 separate videos. Great work!

I did. I just didn’t release them to the subs. I didn’t want to flood their feeds. Thanks, Scott!

Really? You liked it? You just made my day. I felt like it was too long and boring as most of my videos are short with a VO. This may become the new norm for a bit. Thanks for watching!

What happened to the music & talking??? It's so... quiet.
@SeanRubino6 жыл бұрын
I had to get this out and I’m really not fond of royalty free music anymore. It just doesn’t go well with this. VO takes too much time and I don’t have much of that anymore. Bare bones. Thanks for watching, K.C.!

I know you don't have a ton of disposable income, but have you looked into a KZbin Subscription through Epidemic Sound? player.epidemicsound.com/creator-subscription/?_ga=2.178841447.230194334.1534807254-189183323.1534362382 - $15/month for TONS of music that may make more sense for you.

Hmmmmm, not a bad idea. I’ll look at that and explore. I feel like the publicly accessible audionautix and mcleod tracks are played out and out of date.
