What is employee experience and why is it so important in today's times?
My name is Ekta Capoor and I'm the co-founder of Amazing Workplaces, a content and media, a platform for employer branding. I together with my company, am on a mission to bring the best practices of organizations from all across the globe on a single platform. Today, I'm going to share with you five points why employee experience matters so much, especially in today's times.
1. The first point is that if you create a good employee experience, it helps reduce your employee turnover.
2. The second point is that if your employees are having a great experience that is, they are engaged in whatever they are doing at work, then your productivity increases. So we can say that good employee experience can help enhance productivity of your organization.
3. The third point is that employee experience helps your organization build a certain credibility in the market, which means that the next time you go out looking for talent, you'll find that you'll get more good employees wanting to work with your company.
4. The fourth point is that good employee experience actually results in good customer experience. Now, if you ask me why? Well, isn't it very natural that when you take care of your employees, your employees take care of the customer? Yes, if an employee is having a great employee experience, he is likely to be more engaged, is likely to be more productive, and he is going to actually take care of your customers. So isn't that really good for you?
5. Last but not the least, a good employee experience actually ends up you making more profits in your business. How does this happen? Well, with your employees being engaged, the attrition level obviously goes down, which means you don't have to spend extra money in hiring, retaining and training employees. Also, the productivity increases. And as more and more customers become loyal to your brand, obviously it all sums up in increasing your profits. And with so much going positively for you. Isn't it natural that your profitability increases and your brand value also increases?
So what are you waiting for? Go ahead and talk to your employees and learn to understand what is it that they look for in your organization. Make those little changes and see how your organization becomes a great employer brand.
