I did my partners myself, but I am a fully qualified safety advisor/auditor. I have been trained in reading legislation and checking compliance. While it is different acts, same basic concept for compliance. On top of this my wife and I have already been living together for 3 and half years prior to the application. It takes our team about 30 hours to put an application together, we do this everyday so you will probably need a bit more time. You will also need to put aside some time every few months after lodgement you update your application with new evidence. 2. Do you like doing paperwork? If you are the kind of person who likes doing their own tax return then this could be something for you. If you hate doing paperwork this will be hard work. 3. Does your situation have any complications, such as, a health issue, previous criminal history, you don’t meet some of the basic requirements, previous visa refusal, if the answer is yes to any of these then we strongly advise getting help with your application as it will require legal submissions to address these issues. In summary if you are going to DIY get some form of help even if it is just a Visa Strategy Session with a Registered Migration Agent, we charge $165 for a 1hour session and in the scheme of a $7k application it’s nothing. Other agents charge similar amounts anything up to about $250, my advise is to not bother with a “Free” advice session as they are only going to use the time to convince you to buy there services, nothing in life is for free :)

I availed the service of a migration agent and he is just literally a money making machine. He wants us to pay again because the skills assessment and English test have already expired during the pandemic. We all know that it is just a waiting game because of the pandemic restrictions nothing much happened since borders are closed and Australia is not accepting offshore applicants. There's no little consideration given to us. He said if we want to proceed then we should pay him again an amount which is even higher than what we have initially paid for.
