Nothing beats the f91w for comfort. I wore a G for a year but decided to switch back to the f91. I’m a farmer and it gets submitted in water covered in dirt,grit,blood w/e. It still works just fine. For the price you can’t go wrong. Only watch I will buy/wear from now on.

With many years wearing a F91W and now have a G shock I would say the F91 is a great watch, but the weakness is the band. I usually get a couple years out of mine before they break. In many cases the corner of the timepiece breaks where the pins mount. Awesome watch for the money but the G Shock is much more durable overall. Still love the F91 :)

I've been swimming / snorkeling in the ocean a few times with it - no issues at all, during or after. The most amazing thing to me was the lack of corrosion... the buttons still work fine.

Casio never dissapoint. I'm working with conformal coating and had one of these for a while. Ofcourse it got covered in coating every now and then so i washed it off with acetone on several occations. The case looked like shit but the watch refused to die. Great watch for no money, and no risk getting robbed wearing it 😄. And the battery last forever.

Wow. I love Casio. I've just bought f91 Casio in grey translucent. Have 2 others f91. Also have A100, mq analogue,aw 48 analogue/digital. And a credit card Casio calculater. I knew the f91 was tough. Seen the run over test before. I was amazed at the freeze in ice then in boiling water. That digital far exceeds by light years on how wonderful this watch is. It's so accurate that should be used for timing sport's like F1 grand Prix, athletes, winter Olympics, etc. You can go without a phone for a year and still show the correct time. Top that with 7 year average battery life. It has been known to last 30 years with pressing a function button every now and again.

Hello Avg. Joe, I have watched the video just now and I’m impressed. How about the Casio B640W? Could you try to put this model on the same tests? This is the one I currently own. It’s more pricey than the F-91W as it features illuminator technology and also has better water resistance of 50 meters. It also has timer which is missing in the F-91W. It’s calendar details are more complete than the F-91W. It’s strap is made of stainless steel but the watch’s body or case is made of resin.

I got the f91w and the g shock 5610 square. They are both good watches and matches my wrist size. Value for money has to go to the f91w. I think the 5610 looks better because it's not too big and not too small. With Casio watches, you just can't go wrong, if you get the right wrist size. I wear my f91w most of the time, if I'm not seeing friends or going any where special. If I go on hoilday, f91w is what I take. F91w is water proof but they don't advertise it like that (becareful if you change battery, then it's not water proof any more) If I'm seeing friends, then I go for the g shock. I have 3 of the f91w lying around the house lol. Obviously with the g shock, I only have one lol. With g shock, you will spend more money over time, the new strap with the g shock will cost more than a f91w. I just love both of them. I think this video is correct though, value for money has to go to the f91w. f91w is the biggest bargain in the world and it looks good as well, it's a very good looking watch, small on the wrist but good looking.

G-shock might be a little overrated. I mean sure all the tech they say is there is there, but practically, most wearers will never torture it quite enough to make it worthwhile. I think S810 is a pretty nice sports watch, with adequate pressure rating for a lot of activities, and they have related ones without the fancy mechanism.

I had an illuminator which i wore everyday. It lasted 4 years, then i bought a gshock6900. It also lasted 4 years of daily wear. I believe these casios are made the same. Its just marketing strategy

Simply remove the old and read the read battery. You can input the code on the battery into a search engine or Amazon and should be able to find it. The number is more important than brand. You don’t have to get the same brand.

CASIO F91W Faultless 8 years later, it died. Replaced battery myself. Flickered on/off a few times, then nothing. Cack handling of the screen probably disturbed display contacts to destruction. Paid $49 in 2015 online, delivered to EU Denmark.

Depends on what you want out of a watch. Any Casio watch I would endorse because they’re built well and very affordable. I personally tested the F91 but it’s and older design and small for some wrists. So it depends mate.

At the moment of this comment I'm wearing a Casio W-59 (That is almost the same thing than an F-91W) It is 8 years old and I have replaced battery only one time, it's an amazing watch: I also have an Orient Mako and an Invicta Bolt 17431 wich are watches way more expensive than the W-59 but my favourite one is the W-59 and a Casio MTP 1213, a gift from my father in 2007 and it's still working. I've already had Mido, Bulova, Omega, Invicta and several Smartwatches, but nothing better than a good and loyal CASIO watch.

Gshock can endure temperature torture better than f91 due to higher water resistance and usage of tougher materials such as mineral glass instead of resin glass , go watch casio vs gshock torture test made by watch geek if you don't believe me. Gshock literally hold the world record by having a 24 ton truck run over and survives. Gshock are design to survive 10 meter drop. There's no denying that f91w is tough, but tougher than g-shock ? Hell No. This video is still fun but sucks if you want to see an actual comparison f91w to a gshock

Valid points and no argument. But for a 10.00 watch it’s a damn good watch. Sure you get more from a G but at 4 times the price at it’s most affordable iteration. It was meant to be a fun video like you said but good suggestion to actually compare the two side by side with some real life tests. Thanks for the feedback.

The g shock system is four rubber micro pads innit... Afaik just that cut a few think slivers off and old bicycle tube... Your watch is g- shocked lol
