@@MikeRussell thanks for the reply ! Again can’t thank you enough for the settings. I dived a bit into audition and found live processing is possible, however there is a delay. Do you know of a way to counter it in a discord scenario or conference call?

Hi Mike! I have an "existential question": For a podcast, mostly recording solo, which kind of mic do you recommend? Condenser or dynamic? I ask because the majority of comments are "dynamic mic it's the best for podcast", "condenser mic capture too much ambient noise". My budget are limited, for a decent usb condenser mic (with pop filters and desktop arm) I have enough; but for a dynamic mic, audio interace and mic stands exceed my budget.

A USB mic like the Beyerdynamic FOX would do the trick well.

The 45 degree positioning rule typically applies to all microphone types, including both condenser and dynamic mics.

Thanks Mike - spot on as always! My desktop audio sounds pretty good now too, also thanks to you. However, when I record videos for our academy, I use the Sennheiser MKE 600 attached to my video camera. The sound is OK, but it seems to me to be far below the capabilities of an MKE 600. Do you have any tips on how I can improve this?

You're welcome, glad I could help improve your desktop audio - for camera mounted mics I’d say proper gain staging, positioning, and acoustic treatment are key to getting the most from a high quality mic like the MKE 600.
