I’m 52 years old dealing with inflammation & other health conditions. So far I’m down 70 lbs. since last year! I started to make changes in April 2023. I was 257 lbs. when I got started, now I’m I’m at 186 lbs today! My cholesterol is down, and my blood Pressure is going down to normal levels! I need to start working out more. My hold up is some mid back pain from a car accident a couple of years ago 😔 I’ve done more walking, but my goal is to get in more walks, start strength training, and high intensity workouts. People at work and my friends are noticing the changes, especially when I bought new clothes. My pain threshold is a lot less, my knees, feet and back are not aching like before! I started by eating foods to reduce inflammation, I started adding them into my new lifestyle, as a result the weight was falling off. I got rid of seed oils, I always read the food labels when I look for new things to eat & replace what I was eating before! Only eating olive oil,some avocado oil, eliminating processed sugars, eating low glycemic fruits , and just finding new healthy favorites to replace sweets & snacks has been huge in my efforts! At first it was hard, now I look forward to eating the healthy recipes & foods that are a part of my daily routine! I am eating many of the same foods as you are eating Dr. B! I now eat for nutrition instead of eating for entertainment! In my free time I’ve been watching several videos on healthy eating, foods that heal our body,searching out vitamins & minerals that improve certain health conditions, then seeking out which foods have those vitamins & minerals in them! Finally when I have a better idea what foods I need to start eating I go shopping for them & find ways to use healthy seasonings, oils, etc. to starting eating them. For those who are searching for better health, you can follow these same tips! The fit father project is a great place to get information for a healthier & pain free you! 🥑🥥🥚🍠🧄🧅🥝🍤🫐🍎🍏👍🏻🍣🥬🫒🥗🍗🍓🍌🍋🥚🍉🥦🥒🍯🌰🍋‍🟩🍄‍🟫🧅

At 52 I am trying to get down 30 more pounds & get in better shape to surf on my 53rd birthday with my 3 kids. I thought I better do this crazy thing before I get way too old to do it. I might already be too old, but gotta take your shot. Thanks for the inspiration & great tips. Going to put these into action. ❤🤘

Remove simple carbs and sugars from your diet. Stop snacking throughout the day. Why? Insulin/glucose spikes. You need to keep it low and stable to lose weight. Take 1 tbsp of MCT c8 oil with your coffee. You want your body to burn fat and not carbs for fuel. Ketones are much better. Watch on YT, Thomas DeLauer, keto kamper, Flav City, and Dr Berg. I lost 50 lbs and gained muscle from lifting weights.

Right it’s good to have nutritional forgiveness when you slip up a little bit and not give up on all of the hard sincere effort you made so far. We need to give ourselves some slack & grace to be human but always looking for improvement in some way everyday is the key. Being 1% better every day does a lot overtime.

if you can lose weight, stop eating (reduce your number of meals, eat less in your portions) and doing something to make you sweat. Guarantee you will see a lower weight on the scale

Understanding your metabolic rate is key as well right?
@Fitfatherproject
@Fitfatherproject Жыл бұрын
It can definitely be helpful to have an understanding of how many calories you generally burn each day (Total Energy Expenditure). This is your Basal Metabolic Rate + amount of activity / exercise you do. Here's a calorie calculator we created a few years back that uses a very well-proven metabolic rate estimator (based on your age/body size etc). You will need to MAKE A COPY or download this to actual input your data: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1MzUWG1a2ouCVJ2ZdaL7gFv0KAfrq3FZvttdvO5BP2o8/edit?usp=sharing

5 Reasons - 1. Mindset ( all or nothing mindset , thinking exercise is most important, shiny object syndrome [always trying new methods]) 2.Not having a good plan ,eating junk and. lack of discipline. 3.Not prioritizing nutrition dense food. 4.Wrong exercise. 5. You are creating your own plan that you can't stick to. You give up easily when you are off track.

@@bmix2663 I’m not being an ass? The only reason you don’t lose weight is if you’re not in a calorie deficit
@Fitfatherproject

There is a BIG mental and motional component to actually pulling off a consistent calorie deficit. The calorie balance math is obvious key and underpinning... but human psychology and behavior is not... hence the internal focus of this video.
