Biomechanics routine (3x10 each):
Standing wall hip flexions, supported resisted hip flexion, standing resisted hip flexion, SL half squats, reactive elastic hip extension, toe extension walk, calf corkscrews, ankle band routine, towel grabs, bosu ball balance drills

Waking up early before your run and sleeping enough are the pillars, great video again! (I’m so high maintenance I need 45-60min before the run starts)

Awesome tips! I’m in a very similar situation to you actually lol. Training for CIM and a full time engineer. I have a question: 1) Anything else you do the night before so that your morning run doesn’t hinder your ability to be on time for work?

Love it! Totally. I do a lot of meal prepping throughout the weekend and early week to make sure I don’t have much to do after my morning runs except shower, get dressed, and head out the door. I pretty much just think through everything I might need to do before work, then shift as much of it to the night before as possible

What about those of us whose stomachs can’t handle anything before running? Except for some water and Gatorade I don’t consume anything.

I know it may seem like you can’t handle anything, but I bet there’s something out there that sits well that you haven’t tried yet. If nothing is really seeming to work, my best advice is to try and slowly train yourself to handle something by starting with a little and getting in more and more over a couple weeks. It really is worth trying to work on training the gut. Gatorade is still good though as the sugar and electrolytes are better than nothing

I definitely would if the opportunity was there, but I also love my job as a materials engineer. It’s nice to have multiple things to focus on and be interested in

I struggle at sleep lately and 9:33 i dont know why. I sleep 8 to 8.30 and now i always wake up at 3am and i cant get back to sleep. My garmin says i am just sleeping less than 7hrs unlike before i can sleep 7hrs more consistently i am so bothered since i have upcoming marathon in dec 1.

I’ve been there before. At the end of the day if you’re feeling energized, even if you’re getting less than 7 hours of sleep, then it’s okay. Your body will rest as much as it needs too. We obviously always want to get more sleep, but on those days where you wake up and can’t fall asleep again my best advice is to not stress about it too much. If you’re still laying down or reading or something, your body is resting and that is still productive
