Are you sick & tired of the same running injuries surfacing? OR are you trying to rehab your injury and encountering several flare-ups? Look no further than this video which covers 5 rehab insights that will help prevent an injury flare-up.
Whether you have plantar fasciitis, ITB pain, shin splints, runner's knee, tendon pain or muscle strains, these 5 tips will supercharge your rehab and running routine.
Brodie developed these insights while trying to rehabilitate his own hip flexor injury which flared-up after a series of box jumps. His aim is to return to box jumps and finally get this recurring injury under control. Can he do it?

lol. I can't wait for the types of videos that will come out in a few months time once you had the baby. "How to exercise after 2 hours sleep" "How to recover when you aren't sleeping enough" "How to fit in a workout when you only have 15 mins a day" Seriously though - I wish you and the missus all the best. Having a baby is always a magical time.

Wow. I just had a free consult with you this past Tuesday and I hadn’t watched much of your content. Man, I’m happy to see how you’ve dealt with a lot of these same mental battles we deal with chronic injuries. Def will be trying to keep your pointers in mind and checking your content.

@@RunSmarterwithBrodieSharpe well just the point about not falling into this safety loop. As a more anxious person it’s easy for me to let my alarm system run rampant where I’m doing everything to avoid flare ups, which is good to some extent. But then at times it can lead me to not being as aggressive in my rehab and underloading my tendon. I also have a series of exercises and movements I would consider the “my nemesis.” But I’ve never seen any physical therapist empathizing with this same experience. I just assumed hey you’re a physio, you just don’t have these same problems and fears. Wow how silly of me to disregard the human element. Anyway, I’ll be listening to your podcast and trying to implement these tips and tricks.

Thanks for another great step by step video Brodie. It’s always helpful to see new rehab techniques…two bands at once 😮what a great idea! A kettle bell on your foot, I never would have tired that! Congratulations on the new addition. I hope all are doing well! 🎉

Hi Brodie. Love the video. I can't see the diagram in the 'Muscular strategy shift in human running' article. Just wondering where you got it from as it's a great compendium of the forces in different muscle groups in running? Is it from one of the related studies? Thanks.

Hey Andy, I actually extrapolated the data from the Tim dorn study. The values are there. I gust turned it into a graph.

@@RunSmarterwithBrodieSharpeCould restricted ankle or hip mobility cause PFPS? I think that I have restricted ankle mobility and as I go into a deep squat my knees cave in and that causes PFPS.

@@bidissss It could play a factor but might not be the primary factor. Typically its an overload issue (ie. doing too much too soon)

I love your content Brody but did you look up what a 5.17m/s is? It's a 2h15m marathon or 3:13/km (5:11/mile). I think what really is happening for you is too much too soon. Your body wasn't use to that 15min workout and you should of started with 5min and let the body adapt. It would be like I go out tomorrow and do 20x200m at 3:30/km. Let's start with 5x200m and build up 😂
