I experienced both. I had 2 boys and was working outside the home. I later had twin girls and had the privilege to stay home to raise the four children at home. I loved it!! As the girls entered school, I went to work cleaning houses part time. Only worked during their school hours and after school we were all hkme as a family. They graduated high school and went to work and I went fulltime with my business as a caregiver and residential cleaning lady. No regrets ❤

Wonderful commentary-I often regret divorcing my husband,neither one of us were truly ready & rooted deeply in the Lord. Thank you pastor Lana for your message. There is a lot of pressure over women in modern culture. I was single mom working as a nurse and was proud that i was making my own money and bought my own things without depending on anyone. But my kids were on their own and got themselves into darkness and witchcraft watching things on internet. I was busy working and the social media was influencing my children. One day after work my daughter was not the same and demonized because some girls on social media said how great it is to have spiritual boyfriend and she fell for it. It was a big wake-up call for me.

For me, i have submitted to my husband for 10 years only to find out he was lying about our finances and has no financial goals for our retirement and for our kids. All he cares about is his cameras, gadgets and his car. I took over complete control of the finances and we finally bought a house, went on an international trip, invested our money, stopped paying for subscriptions which we have been paying for years and didn't use. Its easier to submit to a husband who can protect and who is grounded in the word. Its harder to submit to someone who does not give priority to God and his family. Who does not care enough to communicate with his wife, does not establish values, does not set long term goals. I struggle to submit to him because i fear that he will ruin our lives. I am struggling.

I would love to hear the biblical advice when you are married to a man that isn’t serving God. He knows God but chooses sin? A man that is an alcoholic or in other active addictions. Like gambling, pornography etc. How do you respect a man, when there is nothing in their behavior to respect? How do you still live blessed and highly favored when your life is in chaos because of their choices/ addictions. And how can you put seed in the ground or sow into a ministry when they control all the money?

They are but so are women. I was the breadwinner who did everything whilst my first husband did nothing. My best friend worked extremely hard as a breadwinner whilst her husband stayed at home. She out earned him by four to one. The children are all nearly grown and he works again but they are a team. Neither submits to the other. I personally do not submit to my husband. I am not beneath him in any way.

My body belongs not to me but my wife, so she gets to choose [ basically there is nothing such as this is yours this is mind we are one flesh] 4. Word of god as standard for living together 5. Jesus, in the middle of our marriage 6. Must be able to provide for the family yet it is god who provides 7. Is subjected please wife lest she run away 8. Do things as one flesh 9. Subjected to mutual agreement on a situation like agreeing to refain for a time to pray, then joint together. 10. What God reunites let no man divide, life till death. 11. Fear of the Lord, lest the husband fall into sin 12. The one that loves god 13. The head of the wife 14. Is able to remarry if the wife has gone to the Lord [ the marriage covenant is broken] the husband is freed. 15. Protect women but it's god who protects But don't worry, this is for the time being. If we are in heaven, all these desires perish, for we will be like angels, and no one will be married yet. You will know who you are married to. This is my judgement. If a man is married to a wife, this too has to cooperate and help each other in weakness. It is the husbands job to ensure her wife is on the right track. It is also a wife's job to ensure the husband is on the right track. Both destinies rely on each other, and god, our mediator. It's OK if you disagree. This is from a brothers perspective. Currently, age 22, I don't know when to get married, nor do I know who to get married to? Currently burning with the desire of this passion.
