50 years and these guys are still unbelievably wonderful. Dang. As good as when I was 17.

I loved Seatrain then and love them still. Their lyrics inspired me, the violen at that time was so unusual for a rock band. It just set them apart for me and I can still sing every lyric to my 2 favorite albums.

One of my all time favorite songs from one of my all time favorite bands. Andy's gone, but I sure would love to see a Seatrain reunion sometime.

Since it's Passover somewhere. Here's a Passover song from my favorite country rock band, 'Seatrain'. This song and album was produced by Beatles producer George Martin. Happy Passover to all!

Waiting for Elijah. (he's been gone so long now) Waiting for Elijah. I hope he's comin' soon. Here I've gone and set a place for you. I've even filled your glass. I remember every word you said, and how they've come to pass. Even, even, eventually. Even, even, eventually. And these bleeding wounds that just won't mend. (and neither will the wind) White geese in the northern sky release the rainbow's end. How brightly shines the moon tonight. Our words lay where they fell. Here we listen, watch, and wait. I lift mine ear to tell you, Even, even, eventually. I say, even, even, eventually. [musical interlude] And I'm waiting for Elijah. (he's been gone so long now) I'm waiting for Elijah. I hope he's comin' soon. I hope he's comin' soon

My older brother came home with this very album...and the music? JUST BLEW ME AWAY! I particularly "dig" the way you have suggested us to "close your eyes and listen"...a rare suggestion, but oh,so relevant to this song. I saw Peter Rowan at a folk festival,nestled in the Berkshire Mountains, and when he was onstage?...He had the audience;EVERYONE; in his hands. Peter can still sing wonderfully, as he did years ago on this album, in this song. Thanks for posting this, glad to subscribe.

I learned about Seatrain in 1981or sometime around then, when I was in highschool. Bluegrass has some core fans but information was (still is) very hard to come by in Japan back then and I read about the album on this thin monthly magazine that was available only in esoteric record shops and guitar shops, found the album in a second hand record shop, and have been hooked on their stuff ever since.

Is it Lloyd Baskin doing the main harmony ("Even filled your glass...")? Whoever it is, does he also sing broken morning?
@lilysandoz8 жыл бұрын
+Mark Wambach Yeah, that's Baskin. He does sing 'Broken Morning.' Peter Rowan has the other lead voice.

B"H/ Elijah arrived and announced the Messhiach. G-d sent Messhiach. He is the son of a MAN from the tribe of Judah here in Israel. Open your eyes, ears and just ask.
