Many people have asked me, how do you get such great motorcycle and travel photos? They often think I must use high end gear. But no! You can do this with your camera phone! There are 5 basic principles to get amazing photos:
1. Composition
2. Telling a Story
3. Getting Close to your subject(s)

I am a very passionate photographer for more than 25 years and a biker for only a year... So I know exactly the tips you have been talking about and I fully do agree with all your tips. What is kind of ‘frustrating’ these days is that with a smartphone you can really take very nice photos. So taking a good photo became way easier compared to 25 years ago. Keep up your great videos. I already got lots of information. I am riding a BMW R1200 GS LC from 2015.

I agree. I love photography and nowadays is hard to bring your heavy old trusty DSLR with a couple lens and a heavy tripod when the phone can get "enough" qualify even at night and handheld

Great tips, before my next trip I'll watch the video again for a refresher. I snap away with an RX100 and Galaxy S9, and with lots of shots at the end of the day I usually pick the best third. Load the photos on a tablet, grade with F-Stop, edit and upload.

Good video (i.e., camera Not Mounted on one's Helmet) begins with chest mount and a narrow field of view than those we shot for the Geographic. Aerostich (i.e., Riders' Ware House/Rider's Wearhouse in Duluth, Minnesota) c a n (and does) fix you right up with strong Velcro (who knew it comes in different strengths ?...Andy Goldfine did) Chest patch on Aerostich's Rider suits just below the collarbone and above the heart. See...no more seasickness for your viewers. Or you can utilize a drone functioning in FollowAlong mode. You're Welcome.

I use a Canon 1Dx Mk2 for photography and a Gitzo carbon tripod with a Really Right Stuff ballhead...before my girlfriend joined my flock, I rode a 2015 KTM 500 EXC dual sport, so I used a large backpack to store my camera/tripod...after selling the KTM and buying a 2008 R1200 GSA, so my girlfriend could join me, I realized that I could store my camera but not the tripod...the aluminum boxes were too small. How do you store your tripod on your setup? Thanks for all the awesome videos...you are an incredible mentor and teacher!

Small tripods that fold tiny, or use rok straps to secure a tripod across the rear rack
